Customer Service people get my sympathies*.

I know customer service people can be pains in the tussy & trust me, I've had to tell off a few in my day, but sometimes I can only imagine what customer service people think when I call them.

There are probably all kinds of *s, notations, red marks, whatever, all over my files of all the companies I do business with.

This weekend my desktop got struck by lightening, so I just now finally decided it was time to call & ask about getting my laptop fixed.  I'm not on the phone with the chick, who I already can't half understand, when Bo & Baby Girl decide to get in a fight & come at me hollering & screaming.

I wonder what that chick was thinking.  You know how loud it is when somebody is yelling on the other end of the phone line.  I had to cover Baby Girl's mouth with my hand while I gave the chick the serial number.  It will cost $199 to repair, FYI.

One day, I was either on the phone with Dell or Dish Network & the chair I was about to sit in BROKE!  It was an office chair & the whole seat part broke off & I fell against a shelf.  I hurt myself, like a major bruise, but I kept on with my conversation.  Hell no, I wasn't going to hang up & start the whole process over again.  That rep probably thought I had lost my mind.

I don't even want to count the times I've called & something wasn't plugged up right or some other simple stupid thing on my part or how many times one of the children started crying while I was on the phone.

And heaven help the guy that was walking me through the process of shutting down & reinstalling my computer after a virus.  That was probably the worst 2 hours of his life.  Oh to be a fly on the wall of his office.

Maybe I could get a job as a customer service phone representative.  Think my Southern accent is hard enough to understand?  Wonder if the company would provide the padded room from which I will have to work?

*on second thought, they should feel sorry for me.  It's my LIFE!

This is funny -- the picture in my head of the whole chair thing has me rolling! And kids always pipe up at a bad time!

I used to be a cust svc rep for an internet company...one night I was on the phone with someone and the rep next to me flipped right backwards and tumbled out of his chair while on the phone with a customer. I had to put mine on hold while I peed my pants laughing...the other rep didnt miss a beat and kept on helping the customer lol

I don't like when I call to cancel something, and I'm already having to call while Babe is awake because the hours they are open are 10a-2p or something ridiculous and they try to sell me the thing I'm cancelling while the baby is yelling and throwing stuffa nd then they get pissy with me. Otherwise I seem to get relatively good customer service. Knock on wood.

That's funny. I wonder how many times you've had to say, "hang on, I gotta yell at my kids..." LOL

yea, I know. when I'm on the phone with a CSR I carry on like nothing is happening on my end of the line. I have been know to lip-holler at my kids or husband while talking nicely to the CSR.

This is too good! I know for a fact that they make notations - the last time I was having problems with my internet, the 3rd day and one millionth service rep told me they had written on my file: The customer is very frustrated! haha So from then on I was super sweet - must keep them off balance, you know. haha
XOXO

One afternoon, I was on the phone with the Keurig people, because I couldn't get my coffee maker to brew- oh the HORROR! In the meantime, my sister and her brand-spaking new fiancee arrive and start trying to help fix it, so now I'm talking to the guy AND them... then my parents pull up from FL for the first time since the engagement and come in in a rush of excitement and I'm still trying to talk to the poor man... finally my sister fixed it and I just said "thank you" and hung up!

I know that feeling all too well! As soon as I try to make a phone call, the dogs start barking, the kid starts yelling, and everyone in the house is demanding something of me!

I'm a new follower, by the way. So, hello!

I hear ya...why is it that no one ever stops by for a visit and none of my family ever needs anything UNTIL I get on the phone? Murphy's law, I tell ya!
