A prelude to an egg hunt

The countdown is on for the massive Easter Egg Hunt the Semi-Slackers host every year.  This will be year 7 & if my prediction is correct, it may be the biggest turnout yet!  I pretty much invite everybody I know because I'm just social like that & this year it seems like everybody is coming!  Even people that I have invited every year, but never come are coming this year!  Plus, it's going be in the 80s tomorrow! Perfect Georgia weather.

So I'm in total yard fixin' up, house decorating, trying to keep everything clean mode! That, my friends, is why God made Xanax.

Inspired by Pink, Green & Southern & the one I did for Christmas, I set up this candy bar.  I had to "refill" the candy today.  And I may or may not have threathened my children's lives to not eat the candy OR mess up the house.  Lucy comes on Fridays & the house is usually trashed back to normal by Saturday noon.

Did you notice my market tote that's full of bags of chips, mini donuts, hotdog buns & whatever else I couldn't shove into the breadbox at the end of the bar?  That thing really is multi-purpose.

Y'all are going to love what my Bunko Secret Pal gave me for Easter.  It has already found it's permanant home on top of the frig.  It fits my plate stand still up from Christmas perfectly!

It also hides the liquor bottles up there nicely.

And I'm feeling kinda bad about my last post about Retro because yesterday he went shopping all by himself & bought these dresses for me. I guess he's pretty much got me figured out after almost 15 years. He does things like this from time to time & I remember exactly why I married him wink, wink in addition to the fact that I love him so much.

I'm going to wear the one with the most green on Easter.  As for tomorrow, the children will be matchy, matchy I don't care how much they protest in their plaid Kelly's Kids outfit.  Thankfully, the last piece arrived just the other day.  It kills me how they ship stuff piece by piece. But I have no clue what the hostest with mostest I will be wearing.

Be sure to check back probably Monday for all the mamarazzi shots from the egg hunt!

And if you're down my way, y'all come on over!

I ate enough candy this weekend to last the rest of the year!

We his real eggs in the house and forgot to count them first. Guess we'll find them when they start smelling.

Love the candy bar set and I love BOTH of the dresses...they are both cute! That bunny toile platter matches my Easter tableware--NEED THAT! Sorry to hear about Mr. Tim...for sure your chicken and dumplings will comfort those grieving.

I love those totes...I've been secreting coveting one for a while.

And, seriously, Retro not only purchased the dresses for you, but he picked them out, too? You are lucky!
