Looking for me?

I have an excuse.

Sunday, major crick in my neck! Spent the majority of the day with a heating pad on my neck. We didn't even go to church. And it rained. All day.

Monday, the pain in my neck caused a migraine. Daddy B took Sassy to school & I farmed out Bo & Baby Girl. Spent the majority of the day in an Imitrek induced coma. And it rained.

Then Sassy got gum in her hair! Have I ever mentioned that I detest gum. It was not just a little gum. It was little strings of gum in like a whole handful of hair. PTL, it was just in the ends.

Rest assured, I was none too happy. I called Aunt Ann the hairdresser. I thought she was going to have to give Sass a new do last night!

She said use PEANUT BUTTER! Was I the only person unaware of the magical powers of peanut butter? Sassy was not excited about having PB rubbed all in her hair. But, guess what, get over it! I digress... the peanut butter worked like a charm! I had to cut a little piece out, but the way her hair is, you can't tell.

She did have to wash it a few times to get the peanut butter smell out. Serves her right.

We are in full-on St. Patrick's Day mode here at the Semi-Slacker house.

With the ever present help of the Pillsbury Dough Boy, I made cookies for everybody's class. It was just going to be Sassy's class, but then Baby Girl said "for my cass? mine & Bo Bo's cass?". Mommy guilt will get you some Break & Bake sugar cookies with green sprinkles everytime!

Retro scored some brownie points by bringing home this Sara Lee Chocolate Mint Creme Pie with Andes mints! Yummy!

He also got Bo some Harmy Charms. What? For those of you that don't speak this language that would be Lucky Charms.

Baby Girl was excited that everybody had on a green shirt today. I doesn't take much to excite a 2 year old. A 7 year old, now that's a whole different ballgame.

When I was putting the little ones to bed tonight, their room was a mess! I asked who made this mess & Bo said "maybe a leprechaun did it". Must have been.

Now, I need some green beer or maybe a Midori Sour!!!

But I'll probably just go to bed. I'm old like that.

I had a headache for 5 days from dental work so I feel your pain, girl. Hope you ate at least two pieces of that pie, washed down with a green beer or two.

Do you have any idea how long it's been since I've heard the words "Midori Sour," much less actually DRANK one?! LOL. Sorry about the headaches...migraines aren't any fun. Looks like hubby scored big time with the pie and I loved the "leprechaun story"!!

I am so sorry about the crick in your neck--they are the all time WORST! Your PB story reminds me of doing the same things with my step-daughter YEARS ago!!! Happy St. Pat's!

What a day you all had. I sure hope things are better tomorrow. You deserve a star in your crown for making all those St. Patrick's Day cookies! What a great Mom you are, even if you don't feel good. Hang in there, spring is on the way! Love & blessings from NC!

I hope you are feeling much better!

Yeah, the PB trick, I learned it a few months after I chopped a hunk out of the princesses do. Oh well!
It grew back.

Wishing for a green drink slacker style right now!!!

I hope your neck is feeling better! I never knew that trick about peanut butter to get gum out of hair. I hate gum too! I'll sometimes chew it if I feel I need to, but after three minutes its in the garbage.

Have a great day!

I'm so glad you're back! I was getting a little worried about you. Turns out I was right to be... those neck kinks can be torture, and it's funny how they lead to other problems.

I hop you got your Midori Sour :)

Ugh there is nothing worse that a stiff neck! It just ruins you and hurts to do everything, especially with little ones to take care of! Sorry, I feel for ya.

I can really relate to the crick in the neck! My hubby has a really firm pillow....and believe me you don't want to grab that by mistake; you'll wake up feeling all kinds of pain!! Can also relate to the migraines...but nothing like a little bit o' green beer, a margarita or plain ole silence won't cure :) Hang in there kiddo!

I had no idea PB could take care of gum in your hair. That midori sour sure does look good right about now...it just turned 4 o'clock. :)

I am getting over a stiff neck/back, too. In bed for the most of the day yesterday with a heating pad and it feels a little better today, but still sore. Then the headache started-but not a migraine! It has drained my energy!
