Help!! I need teacher gift ideas!

Yeah, I'm still around.  In fact, I'm working on an awesome post right now.  Well...not right now, but this week.

The Semi-Slacker children are ALL going to big school this year.  I may too poor to pay attention (3 children in private school), but at least I'll get a little break.  Baby Girl is telling everyone that I'm going to "take a nap" while they're at school. maybe just 1 or 2 a week.

But the problem at hand is that I need some clever ideas for Back to School teacher gifts (that I can get/do before next Wednesday).  Y'all have read all about my children, I feel I need to start off the year with a bribe.  Plus, Baby Girl's teach had Bo & Bo's teacher had Sassy.

So... who's got some fabulous, not-to-expensive teacher ideas that doesn't scream "teacher".  I'm not a big fan of apples & stuff!

Y'all help me out & I promise to get back on the blogging track as soon as school starts back!!!

  1. I thought I could share what I am doing. I got those pop top cans that pineapples or nacho cheese come in. I opened from the bottom and decorated; I filled with Sonic card, shredded paper, and teacher goodies. Glued the bottom closed, so the teacher could open using pop top. I have some on that I did for summer posted on my blog from a couple of weeks ago.

  2. How about a brown bag lunch (gourmet of course) for the first day of school. Teacher are so busy getting ready for the first day and sometimes deprive themselves of lunch. Nothing like a little fuel to keep you going.

  5. The dollar store has name tags, congratulations and birthday awards, and spinners. I always pick up some for me and some for my daughter's teachers!

  6. I still like the idea you did last year - or maybe it was the year before - with the hand sanitizer! The decorated bottle was so cute!

  7. Go to Etsy - type in Custom handpainted, handcut teacher pencil door signs ---- I can get William to cut the wood probably. How many do you need?

  8. I stole this idea from Shell last Christmas : Germ Busting Buckets

As a teacher, practical stuff is always great to start the year... tissues, hand sanitizer, zip lock baggies in a cute bucket. Target had some great ones in their dollar bins.

  9. I saw a lot of stuff on Pinterest. Are you on there? One thing I thought was cute was pencils tied around a can (or whatever) to make a vase with fresh flowers. After the flowers are gone she can use the pencils. You could even tuck in a gift card to an office/teacher supply store.
