No stripper poles today

only a few things rattling around in my head.

*It's only the first week of January & all my Christmas is put up.  In record time, I believe.  Now aren't you proud of me, Laura.

*I have like 850 friends on Facebook, so how come its always the same 40-something people on.  Wow.  Right now there's a record 54 online.

*Some of the other mothers & I are throwing a Valentine's Day for Sassy's class.  She has already put in for a new dress, "I want it to be kind of Valentine-ish, so like red or hot pink."  I'm thinking regular pink & I'm paying, so let's see who wins.  Anybody got any ideas of activities to do at the dance, besides dance?

*Ratatouille is back.  If you're new, we live in the country, in a pecan orchard, so every year I have a run-in with a mouse.  How the little SOB gets in my house is beyond me.  So today I was walking out of the laundry room & I swear I saw a little tail go through the crack in the door (you know the space where it opens).  So I look around for some boots; I don't know what the deal is with the boots, but every time I see a mouse I feel like I need to put on some boots (preferably Wellies), I find no boots OR a broom (at least not in arm's reach) so I close the door, I don't know why because all I was going to do was freak out, but the mouse was gone.  Now I'll be sleeping with one eye open until he is DEAD.

*I'm letting Baby Girl's bangs grow out.  I don't know what possessed me to give her bangs in the first place, I think it has something to do with my FIL freaking out every time it was in her eyes.  So now it's REALLY in her eyes.  Just thought I'd give you a head's up for future pictures.

*Ben the weatherman is calling for a "significant winter storm" on Sunday night & Monday.  So that means... Snow Day!  I know some of y'all are used to large amounts of snow, but around here, 1" closes school.  It's crazy, nobody can drive to the school, but they can drive to the grocery store to buy milk & bread (& beer) & to the local country club to slide the hills.  I can't wait.  Just hope we don't have an ice storm, that would suck.

*Basketball practice starts bright & early in the morning.

Happy Friday!

I could go for some significant weather; It's boring around here when there's only a foot on the ground for weeks.

Snow-Ball is coming up for Kendall. She hasn't mentioned going yet, but when she does, there will be a dress involved. I don't look forward to shopping for that.

Thanks for your persistence today--I'm sorry the linky thing was being dumb. I linked you up.

Ugh, I have a mouse too! I opened my least-used drawer in my kitchen and found it full of chewed up paper and mouse poop. Then I opened all the rest and found little bits, too. UGH!!!! I have since put out poison. Take that, Mickey!

Putting up the Christmas stuff is on my list for today...

We are supposed to get that storm too, of course it was supposed to snow last night too... and it didn't!

Be thankful it's a mouse and not a rat... my sister just had a rat invade her rental house... they ate her shoes... mice are bad enough, rats would put me right over the edge!

Have a good weekend!

Kirk Mellish. That's my weather guru. He said it was going to snow lots and it actually IS! We have at least four inches already and it's coming down like crazy. No work! YAY! Sometimes living in the south is worth it. :)

Baby Girl is growing out her bangs too. I highly recommend those tiny, little alligator type clips. They hold pretty securely.

"I'm thinking regular pink, and I'm paying, let's see who wins." Hahahaha. That is an awesome comeback!!

I can't stand to have my bangs in my face. It drives me crazy...but that is me.

I kept cutting my daughters bangs for fear of it being in her eyes lol. We're now also trying to grow it out and its been a lon process. Luckily shes been pretty good at keeping pins in. Good luck!

Ewww...ugh...good luck with the bang growing out process, what a pain. I know, I did the same to my daughter a couple years ago, and she had to keep them out of her eyes with these dorky barrets.
As for Facebook, I suspect I'm one of the 40 that's always on. I can't seem to tear myself away. I just sit there and stare. Never really sure what I'm looking for. I've been doing that since I signed up three years ago. I call it Crackbook.
