Ice, Snow, whatever.

So Sunday night/ Monday morning Georgia, along with the majority of the rest of the country, I believe, experienced an onslaught of winter weather.  Atlanta got up to 7", which totally immobilized the whole city.  I'm sure all you up North are rolling over laughing at us, but this is the South, we deal with the heat not the cold.

Around here, all we got is ice. Lots & lots of ice. But if it looks like snow & is as cold as snow, we call it snow. And school was closed. As well as the rest of Central Georgia. The girls & I couldn't wait to get our ski suits on & get outside.
They had a blast pushing each other around on the saucers.  And attempted to have a snowball fight.  I was finally able to talk Bo into coming outside for a little bit.  He posed for a few pictures slid down the hill a time or 2 & he was done.  He is NOT a winter person.  I'm not a big fan myself.

Yes, I know Baby Girl looks like a homeless child.  Remember, I'm letting her bangs grow out & she did have a hat on.  That's my story & I'm sticking to it.

This is what Retro & Bo did for the majority of the day...
sit inside, in their boxer shorts, playing Pac-Man.

While the girls & I did this...

I had the bright idea to tie a rope to the back of the golf cart & pull them around on the saucer.  That hill in our backyard just wasn't cutting it.
Woo-hoo!   I didn't have a video making a fool out of myself on the stripper pole, so decided to post one of me making a fool out of myself in the snow/ice.  I hope you enjoyed it.

32 degrees & below is not my favorite temperature.  I do much better in 80+.  I'm even okay in 90+ as long as I'm near a pool.  If I've got to be in cold weather, you can bet I'm going to be dressed like a freaking snow bunny.  A few years ago I bought about $500 worth of ski attire for myself & the children for a ski trip, but we missed our trip (Baby Girl was in the hospital, long story) so since then they've come in super handy for snow days...1 last year & 2 SO FAR this year.  I don't know how you people that live in this stuff all the time deal.

We woke up Tuesday & it was still here.  So again, no school.  Bo saw the above videos so he wanted to do it, so back outside we went...

He was able to do it a few times by himself, but then wanted me to ride with him.  My hip & knee are paying for that today. Sitting cross-legged on a 2ft. circle of plastic with a 50+lb. 6 year old on your lap boucing across 3 acres ain't the best thing for an out of shape momma. It's bad to get old.  My hips haven't been right since I pushed his 9 lb butt through them anyway.

Toward the middle of the afternoon, it was melting pretty good.  Except for on our back steps...
Can you say redneck? or call that show "Jacka$$"?

Now here's one just to keep y'all laughing...
Let's just say this was not one of my best ideas.

Now where the hell is that global warming?

Y'all stay warm.

This New England girl is so not laughing at you since you get socked with 20 inches today. Yikes that is a lot of snow. We also had a snow day - a very big luxury here, tomorrow it will be back to normal.
I am glad you got some use out of your winter weather gear!

I hate the cold weather. I'm so glad I don't live where it is like that all the time, and thankfully we haven't had any snow.

And it is global climate change, not global warming. Just fyi.

We don't get snow here so I'd say that looks like a ton of fun!!!! I love that you tied the saucer to the golf cart and took them for a little drive!!

Did you ever see the video I posted on my blog of my kids sliding down our stairs while sitting on books?? They would totally LOVE that video of you guys sliding down the stairs on saucers!

Sunday night, the snow was great..and then, the ice that came after, terrible? It's still really icy here, too. Not fun.

You look great in a winter hat! I totally think the cold weather agrees with you.
Just for the record nobody is Canada considers themself a winter person. We sort of don't have a choice, and as a result, we hate you guys in the south just a little bit :)
Sorry I haven't been by, I just saw something about a stripper pole, gotta go read that!
