I can explain...

what I've been doing besides blogging, but I CAN'T explain this crazy Georgia weather.  It's still fall & we had snow flurries on Wednesday & today, yet on Saturday when I plan for cold, it's notsomuch.

So here's what's been happening around here. *Spoiler alert: LOTS of pictures*

I've been performing my room mother duties as Sassy & the rest of the WLS Third grade presents "Where's Santa";

decorating tables & arranging food,
cutting greenery from the school's landscaping,
serving spiked punch,
 Hot-gluing pearls on wooden guitars,
listening to "I got this blue box at Tiffany's you see. It's for Mrs. Claus from the elves & me.",
& finally enjoying the much anticipated preformance.
Sassy & 2 of her "boyfriends", Nate-Dog & Pork Chop.

And guess what.  They found Santa!
 Sass took this one!
And he's the "real deal"!
Bo wouldn't sit in his lap, but he did get close enough to him to tell him a joke.  "What did the gingerbread man put on his bed?  A cookie sheet."
And I just liked this picture.
Then Saturday was Bo's birthday party.

The little boy was suppossed to have on PJs, but my brother decided he needed to look more like Bo.  And that he does. Don't you agree?
I set up Rhett's old train to run around the cake.  Do you get that the white stuff on the table is supposed to be snow?
The rest of these are kind of out of order.
Mass chaos, opening presents.
The gifts!!!!
After the party.  Notice that our PJs match?
Baby Girl & our new preacher's littlest enjoy the train ride.
I think that's Sass & her bestie, Sweetie in the blue car.
My nephew, Ross, my bestie & her little Mad Dawg!
Why do you always have to take my picture?
The GIANT slide!
The food...those Christmas Peeps were even better roasted on the fire pit later that evening.  Gave kind of a creme brulee taste to them. YUM!
PB&J, PB & Fluff, Just PB & Just Jelly sandwiches cut into Christmas shapes; red & green grapes; popcorn; Cocoa Chex mix (my fave); white choc. Christmas tree pretzels, pickles & cheese & just cheese cubes; red & green M&Ms; Capri-Suns; cokes & spiked punch.  I had chili & hot chocolate, but it wasn't all that cold.
The party favors; Santa cups filled with a pack of hot chocolate w/ marshmallows, candy cane & a bell with a "Believe" tag on it.
Santa was supposed to make an appearance, but that's what sometimes happens when I ask my SIL's BF to do something.

I think you are going have to get a new name, not Semi-slacker, like SuperMom instead! Looks like great fun, bringing back memories from when you and ours were little ones. Your family is adorable! Pam Rummel

I can't believe you are wearing a Christmas sweater in that one photo! I do love the colors of it though:)

Oh, and since Sass found Santa could you have her tell him I'll take one of those Blue Tiffany's boxes too?
