Gifts Ideas for the Semi-Slacker Mom

Okay. I'm back. I'm over being psycho. well any more than usual.  I've accepted the February appointment, plus it works better for my social calendar.

I found a new blog that I love, I'm a Lazy Mom.  If that ain't me, I don't know what is. Stacey even has Lazy Recipes.

My birthday is coming up & I'm in need of some grown-up time, so I'm Retro is throwing me a party. It's going to be Cake & Cocktails. I can't imagine where he came up with such a clever theme.

And speaking of birthdays, he is going to be at a major loss this year gift wise because our local jewelry store (his gift-giving headquarters) has closed. Especially since it doesn't look like I'm getting my pool or tummy tuck this year.  Botox, maybe?

So I've come up with a list for anybody that has to buy me gifts him & I'm going very low-maintenance this year, aside from my main wish...a weekend without children, a spa weekend would be even better.

1. cute tights to go with black & brown outfits, that's black tights & brown tights. See, easy peasy.

2. airplane-sized bottles of booze.  What a great stocking stuffer! B's has a great selection.

3. Olive Garden salad dressing. never mind, I just get that myself. But you can take me out to eat.  I prefer Natalia's, but I'll settle.

4. Keurig K-cups in Hot Cocoa & Peppermint Tea. that's Keurig.com.

5. Bert's Bees Lip Gloss in Nutmeg.  Just ask the lady at Cracker Barrel or take Sass, she'll show you. Three tubes please. One from each child.

6. that wool skirt in LL Bean, that I circled & put on the counter, under your cell phone, remember?

I could also use a few new ribbed turtlenecks (pink, brown, black, white) but I'll just get that with the cash you put in my stocking.

See aren't I a nice wifey?  I make his life so easy.

Dang, now I've got Coke all over my computer screen.

You forgot the wine in tetra packs that slip so easily into a purse or diaper bag!

If I want something you have to get online I will never get it from David. He can figure out how to order stuff, but not how to pay for it.

Hubs asked me for a list this year (first time ever). I told him I would give him one as soon as he gave me one... we'll see when that happens.

I used to try the circled-item-in-the-catalog-on-the-counter trick too. Didn't work. Hope it does for you, though! Be sure to report back!

There's nothing like a good vent and a glass of wine...or three... to give you some perspective!

Here's hoping you get the things on your list! :)

I need to be much more straight forward like you! M will ask me over and over and I say "Oh, I don't know." His stepmom and mom want specific lists but I don't want to send it to them so I just sent him links of stuff I want on etsy for him to pass along ha!

You do realize if you surreptitiously gave your devoted bloggy friends your address, we'd probably get you way better gifties than Retro ever could! :)

I love how clear your gift list is. You know what you want. It's great!

Oh I am going to check her out! hahaha. I love the name of her blog. My husband loves it when I am totally specific about gifts. Can't screw it up that way! And he has learned to disguise them so I can't guess.

You are just too cute! Nutmeg Burt's bees??? Sounds nice! I use the pomegranate and you KNOW I get it at Cracker Barrel!

What would we do without the Cracker Barrel general store?

I think you should add 'tasty treats from Stephanie's bakery' hahaha

Hey, the list just might work! I posted on my blog that I wanted either a stripper pole or a pink laptop for my birthday...and I totally got the laptop!

P.S. Is that peppermint tea pretty good?
