Face Book & the Fair

I'm a Face Book semi-slacker too, but my status on Monday got a bit of attention.

The National Fair starts today & thanks to our connections (& sweet neighbors) we have guest passes again this year.  So that means lunch at the fair everyday!  I may have to send those jeans I just ordered back for a bigger size.  (Thanks to my concussion, I did lose some weight this week, but I know I'll regain it plus some when I finally feel better.)

Semi Slacker Mom  Is it bad that I'm already planning on what I'm going to eat at the fair? Monday 1:22 pm

Mandy, Brenda, Karen, Dawn, Ali & Vicki like this.Jana  Heck no. I've been planning it since last October!

Tammy  Oh-If I had a fair to go to I already have a plan! Funnel cakes, Cotton Candy fries with vinegar and sausage and pepper sandwich! I want a fair! See, at least you have one to go to :)

Lisa  I have a friend who thrives on the idea of fair food! He has been planning his "fair menu" since at least early August-

Jessica  There's no planning involved for me! Pass the caramel apple! :D

Tiffany Meeee tooooooo Granny's Apple Dumplings ;)

Katherine  Fair Food Rocks!

Judye For some it is The Fair, for others, like me, it is The Food Fair!!!! Can't hardly wait!!!!

Shannon  nope, not at all. i make a mental list every yr :)

Terry  I can just see you walking around with a big ole Turkey Leg in each hand.

Cretia  no way that is the best part

Clara  NOOOOOOO, of course not......I thought it WAS A MANDATORY thing!!!! :)

Brian NEVER!!! however.....my opinion is from a "fat-kid" perspective!

Dawn  I love some fair food!!!!

Mitzi We dedicate $$ for nothing but eating....

Not only was my picture in the paper last year eating a cinnamon roll, but they reran it in a special section again this year.  This time no names.

And that cinnamon roll is #1 on my list again this year.

YUMMO sounds good to me

I just wish it wasn't 175 degrees here when the fair was going on-seriously there was non stop talk about how f'ing hot it was. hardly anyone was going to the fair, a fair that usually draws Thousands of people. I am pretty sure they lost lots of money this year. Maybe they will learn it is TN and it is HOT in August & maybe they could make it later!!

I'm glad you love it. We are visiting my parents this weekend near you, but I have opted not to go since we have a local fair coming up next week. Your memories of the fair are so wonderful. We love to go to our local fair for supper, to watch my daughter dance and play some bingo. Look forward to it every year.

Thank the Good Lord they didn't publish a picture of you (or anyone else for that matter) gnawing on one of those prehistoric looking turkey legs.

I am with you!
Not only do we plan WHAT we eat at the fair, but we also plan our activities AROUND THE FOOD, so we are in the right place at the right time.
I'd hate to expend extra energy backtracking to get my ribeye...

Our fair even had fried oreos--probably not a new thing, but everything takes a while to get here. They were pretty delicious!

I love fair food!!! We always have to get the soft tacos...yes, the greasy ones with stuff gushing out the sides! And the deep fried oreos. Those are definitely a must have too!
