Mark is an artist, designer, decorator, speaker, author, columnist, chef, television personality, son of the South & he is in the process of pitching his new show to several networks.  I've shown some of his clips here before & if you saw them, you'll remember because he is unforgetable. 

I saw my friend Saturday night & he told me about this & asked that I ask all my readers to show him some support.  So please, for me, help him out. I did & it only takes a second. The form asks for pictures & I just got them from his website.



Here's a email I received this morning from his wife, Debra (aka the brains behind the operation):

Mark really is Oprah's Ultimate Male Fan! She just doesn't know it yet! Let me explain...



For those of you who are Oprah fans, you know it's her last season. (For those of you who aren't, that's OK... just keep reading.) Since day one, Mark has been a HUGE fan and rarely misses a show. He's always said that if he could only get on Oprah, that he would be the happiest guy in the world and, besides that, we all know what a nod from Oprah can do for your career whether you're an artist, an actor, a writer, a designer, a doctor, etc.

Anyway, he was SO disappointed when he did not get to meet Oprah when she came to Macon to do her favorite things show back in November, 2007. We have pitched Mark's show to her new network but it seems to be stuck in limbo there. Recently, we even thought about entering the contest they were having to win your own show on her new network but were advised not to by our Mark Being Mark team because of legalities with ownership of anything we sent to them.

Which brings me to the purpose of this e-mail. Oprah's folks recently announced that they are looking for Oprah's biggest male fan of all time. I've written the attached. We would like to ask you, as Mark's good friends and supporters to take just a couple of minutes to write to them and urge them to put him on as Oprah's biggest male fan. You can certainly write anything you'd like. It certainly doesn't have to be as long as what I've written. Just a couple of sentences would be great. We just want them to have letters coming from all over the country with the name MARK BALLARD in them... maybe they'll get the picture that they need to give him this chance of a lifetime - either as a guest or in looking at the Mark Being Mark project a little more closely.
