We celebrated Sass's birthday almost as much as Baby Jesus'!

*Disclaimer: This blog is also my scrapbook, so if you don't want to look at pictures of how cute my children are, check back tomorrow!*

Sassy's 9th birthday was Saturday & because everything with her is over-the-top, the Semi-Slacker's partied all weekend.

Friday afternoon, I took cupcakes, cheese puffs & Capri-Suns to her class for snack.
This is why I am NOT the cake decorator in the family. And after Baby Girl tried to help herself to one, they looked even worse!

That evening, the whole family went to Sassy's favorite restaurant, Olive Garden.  Seriously, she's as bad as Kendra was on Girls Next Door about Olive Garden, fine I-talian dining.  (that's my momma in the pink & daddy in the yellow)
Babsy (my momma & for my preppy girls, her grandmother name is derived from her monogram BAB) got her this zebra print toilet brush to match her hot pink & zebra print bathroom.
Baby Girl enjoyed her ravioli!

We love the Dolcini or "little dessert treats".  Sassy's fave is the strawberry duh & mine is the chocolate & caramel. Yum-o!

This is why my SIL IS the cake decorator in the family! She thought this was "over the top" but Sass loved it & about 4 people at the bowling alley asked for her business card.

Saturday night, about 30 of our closest friends joined us at the local bowling alley for some pizza & cake, but mostly to waste money in the "game room" to win a 25 cent toy.  Bo got bored fast, maybe because I think he was bowling with a 10 lb. ball! (yes. This is the 2nd weekend in a row he has worn his AJ Green jersey & football season hasn't even started yet!)

See the boy in the blue shirt? That's one of Sassy's "boyfriends", Nate-Dog.  You know the kind you don't talk to & get embarrassed when they are around.
This is the other one. We call him Pork Chop.  (His family owns a meat market)

She couldn't decide which one she liked better, so I told her she could pick the one that gave her the best gift.  Shallow, but I was joking & she is only 9.  The funniest thing is that they both gave her the same thing!!!

This cute watch with 2 faces, which of which was the zebra print!  Do these boys have her figured out or what?  The others were the peace sign from Nate & the flip-flops from Pork Chop!

Now let's bowl... (see, zebra print!)

Her sister had to match!  This dress was originally Sass's, the girl has always had a passion for animal prints.  I love how EJ bends down when she's really only about 2 inches taller than BG.

And this is like the blind leading the blind!

See! I was there too!

If the whole farming thing doesn't work out....

And this is what I got for helping Baby Girl bowl.  She smashed it with a ball.

And I may or may not have gotten a little tipsy, towards the end, after a couple of swigs of a 7&7.  FYI: Xanax & even a little bit of liquor don't mix.

Unless you want it to.

*I have been working on this post since Monday.  Sorry for the lack of computer time.*

That is awesome that she got a toilet bowl brush and liked it!

That's hysterical that they got her the same gift... considering your advice!

Can i just say that I LOVE your mother's sense of humor?! Now I see where you get yours from!

That cake is TO DIE FOR cute and so are the cupcakes.

Sass looks so grown up in the pic with the toilet brush.

Glad you got in at least one pic. I always tell my hubby that when I die my children are not going to know what I looked like b/c there are no pics of me!

Terrific cake! Terrific picture of YOU! You are gorgeous!
I have to laugh, I'm moving to Georgia, our families would mesh perfectly. A birthday in this household is considered a week long event as well. Today we start the festivities with Terran's birthday party, then on Saturday it's his actual birthday, then on Sunday it's the family party...
Anyway, I'm glad your blog is also your scrapbook, I devoured every detail!

Sassy Girl, my advice on the boy thing...hold out for the "Blue" box with a white ribbon ~bow.. ;).. But always be your sweet self, it never hurts to have friends (even if they are boys..)

That cake is a work of Art! Your SIL is an artist... and your Cupcakes looked yummie!! Her classmates must have loved the feast!! You are a really caring mom.. your children are so blessed. The are the moments childhood memories are made of... Hugs to all ...HHL

Wow. Olive Garden and bowling is so redneck chic. My children prefer Bonefish and a pool party. Glad y'all had fun anyway.

Nobody ever brought my class cheese puffs! Olive Garden is my fave restaurant too, by far.

That cake really was cute. No wonder she got business card requests.

What a terrific party, but sorry about your finger!

Loved your bowling shoes!

And I don't think I've ever seen Sass happier than she was holding that toilet brush! You gonna make her put it to good use?

I've bowled at that very same place. Just think you could get major money for that AJ Green jersey if it were just a few sizes larger. I can't blame the kid for making a few bucks off an old sweaty shirt.
