Questions, questions

In the last few weeks two of my BFs tagged me in a "get to know you" tag.  And it's so fun to answer all y'alls questions!

Kenna from Our Crazy Little Life asked me these questions-

1. What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time? Sleep.   Seriously. I don't get much spare time & lately when I do I love to lay on the bed & watch time. So if you're wondering why I haven't posted, it because I'm laying on my unmade bed watching Dancing with the Stars on DVR (I want Jennifer Grey to win) or shuttling my children to one of their 25 activities.

2. If you could travel anywhere in the world & could take anybody with you but only one person, who would you take?  That's easy, Tahiti.  I'm not a big traveler.

I've been wanting to go since that movie "Couples Retreat".  The one person I'd take would of course be Ryan Reynolds Retro, but I think it would be tons of fun to go with a group of friends. That's on my bucket list.

3. What is something that not many people know about you? I took medicine for ADD in college.  I graduated & it made me skinny, a win-win situation.  Now where are those damn pills...

4. What did you want to be when you grew up? And did you become it? I wanted to be a soap opera star, instead became a SAHM mommy, so yes I accomplished my goal.

5. If you could live anywhere in the world where would that be? Somewhere with a beach, probably in the Florida Panhandle. I'm not much of an adventurer. I believe I could live in the beach house we stayed at this summer.  That's is if they had a Target.

6. What was your dream car & what is it NOW? 1956 Porsche Speedster, still is, just like Luke Perry's on 90210.

7. If you could relive high school, would you? If I didn't have to do math. and science. and history. Well if it was just the social scene & not start so early I'd be all in.

8. What is your favorite type of music & why?  Country.  I also like disco, 80s, old school hip-hop, now I'm really getting flashbacks from high school.

and Mel at A Funny Little Peanut asked me these-

1. When do you do your blogging? Naptime? After bed?  I try to blog when the children are at school & I would like to say while Baby Girl is at preschool, but sometimes I just let the TV watch her so I can catch up.  Sometimes I blog after the go to bed.

2. What is your all-time favorite dessert? Feel free to share a recipe if it's fatty and delicious!  Now this is a tough one, cause I love me some dessert. At my favorite restaurant I always order Creme Brulee, but I'm also good with any chocolate-milk not dark, especially with some vanilla ice cream. It's not my favorite, but here's a recipe for the Chocolate Trifle I made a couple of weeks ago.

Make a batch of brownies & 2 boxes of chocolate instant pudding.  Crumble 1/2 the brownies into a trifle dish (or whatever) layer with 1/2 the chocolate pudding, then 1/2 of a large tub of Cool-Whip.  Repeat. Garnish with chocolate chips/shavings, crumbled candy bar or leftover brownies crumbs.

3. What is the most annoying thing your husband/sig other does? That could be a whole post.  But one thing that drives me crazy is when he walks & makes a comment about the laundry like "You're losing the battle" or "it's piling up on you". No shit Sherlock. It's an equal opportunity laundry room, buddy.

4. What are you most proud of? Of course the most obvious, my family, but I'm also proud of the great group of friend I have, especially my besties.  And it does make me kind of proud when somebody tells me how much they enjoy reading my blog.

5. When I say comfort food what comes to mind? Chicken & Dumplings. This is my go-to dish when somebody dies or is sick or for a potluck or just because.

6. What is your favorite holiday? Thanksgiving. I love cooking the turkey & having everyone over to our house to eat. I love leftovers. It's always around my birthday & it kicks off the Christmas season.

7. If you could have a super hero power, what would it be?  Energy! And is that eye-blinking thing & the house being clean a super hero power or just for witches?

8. How would you spend a million dollars? Give to the church; a little nip, tuck; a few shopping trips & a cabin to have parties in somewhere around here.  or a beach house.

Now does anybody else have any questions they'd like me to answer?  And no, I don't do 5th grade math.

Tahiti is on my bucket list as well. Such a beautiful place.

Luke Perry drove the best car in 90210 and the 80s totally rocked. Loved the music of my generation. :)

Your trifle recipe sounds delicious, I'm going to have to give it a try.

I love your answer about college and ADD. LMAO!

The laundry thing... don't even get me started. What is it with men anyway???

I enjoyed this post. You're too funny!

Have a great Thursday!
