Musical Birthday Parties

This Saturday, we have not 1, not 2 but 3 birthday parties to attend.  While that often can be done with just a busy day, these 3 parties all begin within 30 minutes of each other & I want to attend them all!

Here's the who, what, when & where we've got going on:

*My nephew (Bo's age) - Bowling Party - 4 PM - next town over, 20 minutes away

*My BFF's little boy (BG's age) - Pool Party - 4:30 - 10 minutes away

*My college roommate's daughter/ Sassy's classmate - Skating Party - 5 pm - on the other side of town from the bowling party!

And we've only had like 3 birthday parties ALL SUMMER.

Sometimes when we get double-booked it's a blessing, but not when you really like the 3 birthday kids! and their mommas!

In non-Semi-Slacker fashion, I think I have the logistics all figured out.

My Momma is taking Bo to my nephew's party, but he's never bowled before we're not really the bowling type & I'm going to miss it. Mother will be given a camera & instructed to take pictures.

My Bestie said I can drop Baby Girl off, but I don't want to put that responsibility on anybody so my ever-faithful SIL will stay at the party.  Sass & I will make appearance, so I can at least spend some time with my friends.

So looks like I'll be skating on Saturday & hanging out with a different groups of friends.  But thank the Lord it's a private party, because that place can get kind of rough!

If your a new reader, you may wonder why Retro can't take one.  I can assure you he will be "busy", whether legitimately on the farm or notsomuch on the golf course.  I'm lucky if he attends his own children's parties.  That's way he has to write big checks.

Have you ever had this happen?
