One of newest favorite bloggers, HHL from Falling Off a High-Heeled Life tagged me for this & because I love her, I'm doing it. You MUST go read her blog. She is on a journey to reinvent herself after a horrific accident that turned her world upside down. She is a true inspiration.
1. What 3 words would your friends outside the Blogging World use to describe you? sarcastic, straight-forward & take charge? I don't know, they all think I'm crazy & fun to be around.
2. What 5 people dead or alive would you like to invite to dinner and why?
My grandfather, because I miss him. Chef John Besh, so he could cook. Leigh Anne Tuohy & HHL, because they both inspire me to be a better person. and either Bradley Cooper or Ryan Reynolds, just to look at. Oh & if one of them couldn't make it, Chelsea Handler, because she is HIL-AR-OUS!
3. Who wrote the last book you read and what was the title? Chelsea Handler. Are You There Vodka, It's Me Chelsea. I know shallow, but it was funny & I loved it!
4. If a movie was made about your life ~ what would the title be?
Confessions of a Semi-Slacker Mom, of course. And Reese Witherspoon could play me & Gerard Butler could play Retro. You know foreigners do the best Southern accents.
5. What is your favourite (she's Canadian) hobby? Blogging? Kids? I don't really have a hobby anymore, but I do like to get together with my friends once at month & play Bunko. And host parties. and attend grown-up parties
6. Are you a coffee or tea drinker? TEA. Sweet & iced, please. But I do enjoy peppermint hot tea in the winter.
7. If you had to choose wine or champagne? and why? That's a toss-up. I like my wine from the Boone's Farm winery & champagne only in the form of a Mimosa. I'm a Martini kind of girl.
8. How do you order in a restaurant ~ look at the dessert than order main, or just order main and don't worry about having room for dessert? Main! I am a total foodie. And if necessary, you can get the dessert to-go.

My firstborn child is turning 9 on Saturday. I have no problem with my age or getting older. Hers? A little bit. If I was a good mother I would write a heartfelt post all about her, but since I'm a semi-slacker, just look forward to post about her weekend of festivities. That's how we roll.

I just got my latest Southern Lady. It has pumpkins/gourds on the cover & the Hornets are playing their 1st football game tonight (we're not going because we still can't spell Antarctica or Australia). Here comes fall, Mother Nature, ready or not.

Ohh...how I do love Reese!!
And I am right there with you on the dessert to go...I always like a late night snack anyway! :)
Glad Retro is back in your good graces...for now.
I love fall but I'm not quite ready for it to get here!
I love Chelsea Handler too...she well...she is just....so cool. Yeah. Brain not working too well today
Oh my friend you touch my heart... I would so be there .. it would be a great dinner! Thank you for playing along ... these are always fun and interesting.. in this vitual world it allows us to get to know each other a little more.
And I wish that we lived closer!! Your spirit and humour bring smiles to my face, your sweet comments encouragement... Happy Thursday my friend..HHL
We actually had a front that come through this week that lowered the humidity about 10% and the temp about 5 degrees. It felt heavenly. You know it is hot when you can tell the difference between 99 and 94.
Awww yay! I love HHL! And I get to see her next week!
Oh, if Bradley Cooper and/or Ryan Reynolds were there.... I'd totally make the drive! Just to look at them!
I did hear Chelsea's book was great and Ryan Reynolds could sit at my dinner table or anywhere else anytime!
I LOVE REESE!! I had a man tell me the other day that I sounded just like her on Sweet Home Alabama but was prettier...um yeah...right:) LOL
And BUNKO....I don't play anymore, but I use too....fun fun!!
Hope your day is awesome!!
XXOO
Bunco rocks! Absolutely rocks!
We used to call my most recent ex-husband (I'm getting all of the humorous mileage I can out of the situation) Big Money. :)
We are totally Soul Sisters! Wayne got ticked at me about the little "deer post." My Gawd!! Man-drama!
I am totally a Martini kinda gal too!
Reese would be perfect to play you. I love her. And happy birthday to your sweet girl. Have fun celebrating! Loved reading all your answers. Glad Retro is out of the doghouse. Have fun this weekend. Love & blessings from NC!
You have us hooked on Chelsea; we DVR everynight!! Back to school sucks--I can't make it past 9:30.
I have an award for you on my blog! :)

I don't have hobbies either...unless you count the blogging thing. hahaha. Hmmmm...if I were a little older I would have Jean Smart play me. She is awesome. But to pick someone age appropriate....I would have to say....Julia Roberts. Not because I am anything like her (aside from height) but just because I like her skill. She would do well as me.
I'm glad you guys made up. You know I like my wine and I'm a foodie, too. (As much as I can be in Podunk, KY.)
I'm so ready for Fall. I'm itching to put my fall wreaths up but it's still too early.
LOVE dessert. Sometimes my Southern husband and I go out to dinner and only...order...dessert. (Don't tell my teenager). :)
Can't wait for all the weekend festivity details!
I laughed when I saw the spelling of "favourite" then you had to add in there (She's Canadian!)
I so enjoy and love you...you know, in the blogbian sense of the word!
OMG, Reese Witherspooon would be perfect to play you!!!!!! She's adorable!!!
If you ever host a dinner where both Ryan Reynolds and Chelsea Handler are guests, I'm sooooo gonna be there. Whether I'm invited or not. Don't think just because I'm in CA, I won't hop on the first plane to GA and crash your dinner. Consider yourself warned.
Sorry Retro got his feelings hurt about the checkbook post. Sometimes the only way to get our vents out is to write about it. And if our husbands happen to stumble upon those posts and finally get what we're saying, it's a win-win, right?
