Another One Bites the Dust!

Here's a quick weekend flash-back.

Friday on the way home from picking the children up at school, I noticed my legs swelling a bit.  However, it was 450 degrees outside, so I chalked it up to the heat.

Saturday morning, Sassy & I made Monkey Bread (I'll post the recipe sometime this week) while Retro took Bo to the golf course.  When he got home, I took him for a ride on my 4-wheeler around the yard (I was my Papa's 50th wedding anniversary gift from Emma Ruth. He gave her a XL diamond ring, which will also be mine. Think they love me much?) & in true redneck -fashion, it choked down & I couldn't get in cranked back up. So Bo & I pushed it back a country mile to the house because people like to steal things around here, even if they don't work.

Then the parties began.  Poppa picked up Bo for the bowling party. Apparently he did pretty good. He scored a 71 on his 1st time playing.  I took bowling in college & made a D in the class. For real.

Baby Girl & Aunt Crissy went to the pool party & after making an appearance there, Sass & I headed to the skating ring. Please excuse the quality of these pictures, the lighting at the skating ring sucks.  This is most of the girls 3rd skating party, but the boys 1st.  It was kind of fun to see the girls better at something than the boys (they are such completive group).

Another bites the dust!
She's about got it figured out!
Show offs!
This one's for you, Scott, my newest stalker!

When I got home, my legs were swelling again, but hell I'd been skating around like it was 1985!

Well, yesterday morning I woke up with what felt like a cement block on my chest & it continued throughout the day.  I didn't even get on the computer!!! Plus I missed the Prayer Walk at the school.

Here's some back story, right after Baby Girl was born, I had a slight bout with congestion heart failure & you know how these people over here react.  But the only way you are getting this chic to a doctor on the weekend, besides Pediatrics After Hours, is in an ambulance knocked-out

So this morning, I went to the doctor...now I'm sporting a lovely monitor pack thingy.  Looks awesome with every outfit!  Thank goodness I don't have any kind of gala event to attend.

Piggy Paint giveaway will be this week sometime!

If the monitor pack thingy is a Holster, which records the activity of your heart over a period of time.. I agree it is not the sort of accessory that coordinates well with.... Anything! It is a real pain, but better to find out what is happening. Here's to hoping it was just the heat and that all will be well!! XO..HHL

Take it easy and drink lots of water! That's good general advice, right?

I took badminton in college. For real. I don't think I got a D, but it probably wasn't a whole lot better.

Feel better.

I hope you feel better! That's a little terrifying! I'm sure the heat isn't helping either. Maybe you can make a nice cold frozen adult beverage? Might do the trick!

Hola crap! CHF at the ripe ol' age of...what are you, like 21?...well you look it, so you can totally pull off a pack-thingy...yeah, I know I'm a nurse but I still have no idea what the pack-thingy is called.
Take care! And call if you need anything...well, mostly I can offer sympathy.

As for the skating... I USED to be REAL GOOD at it!! WHAT happened?? Those things aren't 4 wheels anymore!! I tried to go out and show my boys how it was DONE!! I went speeding out, went into the curve and BAM!! Cracked my head a good one... Talk about embarrassing head splitting moments!! GAH!! Needless to say, without even getting all the way around the rink once, I was DONE!! *Holding head in SHAME*
I have an award for you on my blog. ;D (Early AM Tuesday post.)

How are you feeling today, resting, drinking (water!) when do you see the dr again?

Hey- WTF (freak, not the REAL f-bomb)-
1)I hope you are ok
2) If you have to go to the hospital, take the Chelsea Handler books AND make sure they give you really, really good drugs. Even if you don't go, ask for the drugs.
3) I took fencing in college. It was surprisingly fun!
4) Monkey bread ROCKS!
