Why is it that...Wednesday

If y'all are interested, maybe I could make this a weekly meme. But then I'd have to figure out that Mr. Linky thing.

Why is it that...

*my son will eat watermelon triangles but not watermelon balls?

*my children make a bigger deal about the dog's birthday than mine?

Beauregard with his wanna-be Milkbone birthday cake.
He turned a year old yesterday.

*Retro's been to the place Carrie Underwood got married (Reynold's Plantation) but I haven't? Sounds like a weekend getaway is required here.

*I'm only the worst mom ever until she wants something?

*Baby Girl can speak Spanish, but she can't spell her name? Granted it is kind of a tongue-twister.  IRL people, spell it out fast...isn't it?

*I lose weight in the winter & gain weight in the summer? Seriously like 3-5 lbs. both ways & eat the same year round.

*my 5-year-old spends more time on the computer than me & knows more about it than Retro?

*Retro has watched "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" 5000 times & we don't own the DVD? Guess what he's watching now!

*Bo won't eat normal stuff like hamburgers & spaghetti, but he loves Alligator Tail? Fried, blackened is too "salt".

*you need to enter my Pillsbury giveaway?  Because it's awesome!
*************************************************

In the last few weeks, I've "met" several new blog friends & 2 of them have given me awards.

Sandra at Absolutely Narcissism gave me this one-

and Jillian from Prenda Le Stelle gave me this one-

Both these girls are really cool, so check them out!  Oh & the rules for both of them say to list either 3 or 10 things about myself, but look at the top & there's a link to 100 things about me.  That should suffice.

There is something about that movie that sucks men in. My stepdad has also seen it 5000 times and they don't own the DVD either.

Personally, I'd take a good 'ol cheeseburger over alligator tail any day. But that's just me... :)

I always gain weight in the Summer too! I think its because I drink more!

That is odd with the weight gain in the summer. Although I think I pretty much move the same amount regardless of season.

The watermelon shapes is funny!

The weight thing is totally unexplainable to me too...I gain weight in the summer, so you're not the only one!

I gain weight in the summer too. I think it's all the lounging around...oh, and the chips I eat on the beach every fricken day.
Thanks for the shout-out, and yeah, that 3 things about you, I think 100 is sufficient!

I gain weight in the summer too. I think it is the lack of schedule that does it to me ie I snack more. I found you through Shell's blog. I'm following now.

Love it.

I love Ghosts of Girlfriends Past too. IDK about Retro, but for me, Matthew McConaughey makes it all worthwhile. Ha.

I'm stopping in from Shell's and I absolutely ADORED your guest post. It's nice to know that I am not the only mom out there that threatens with the orphanage, boot camp, or the child exchange program (you know, the one where you can send in your child and get another child just like your child with the exception that they will actually listen to you). I'm so pleased to make your acquaintance.

I think I was already following you (kinda sorta) but at Shell's recommendation I have boosted you past the crowds onto my favorite blogs list so I will remember to stop by more often! :)

You should definitely go to Reynolds Plantation. It's gorgeous.

And I feel you on the birthday thing. Doesn't seem fair...

My kids only eat cake if it is chocolate with chocolate frosting. They also will not eat pie. And barely got them interested in ice cream. Candy has many specifics too. I just don't get it. Haha.

Found you from Shell's.

Too funny that they are all over the birthday of the dog!

And, the weight thing...maybe it's being home with the kids all day and having some extra snacks?
