Just another Semi-Slacker day

If you've been reading for a while, you should be used to these kind of posts.  But you newbies, don't be alarmed, this kind of stuff happens all the time.

Another day, another injury...

Bo took a pirate sword to the head Friday afternoon.  Sassy The guilty party  has yet to come forward.  But the blood tends to scare them straight for a day awhile.  No stiches or staples needed. After the whole mashing the finger in the bathroom door at church incident at church on Wednesday, this was mild.

This weekend Retro has "been on my list".  His cousin got married Friday night & he was just too tired to go.  Granted he does work a lot (he's a farmer & it's peach season) but Friday was a slow day. The truth is he didn't want to get dressed. ie put on a suit.

It was a nice wedding at what used to be a blacksmith shop back in the day, but is now just used for events.  And the groom's cake! I have a thing about the groom's cake always being chocolate, maybe it's because I'm old-fashioned or maybe because I just prefer chocolate cake.  Anyway, the groom's cake was the best chocolate cake ever! It was iced chocolate then covered in chocolate ganache adorned with chocolate-covered strawberries.  You know I took a picture...

I don't usually post lots of pictures of myself, but my hair was looking exceptionally good for a change...

Well not neccessarily in this picture, plus I'm looking kind of preggers & I can assure you that is NOT the case.  This shop is closed for business.  But Sass was looking cute & sweet (for a change).  She likes it when it's just me & her.
And this is another with one of Retro's cousin after I put the vodka in the punch.  Just my cup!!! And before I was bumped on the dance floor & spilled  rosé  on my dress & dropped the wine glass.  It's not a good party till somebody breaks a wine glass. Right?
Okay. Now we were just acting the fool! And Natalie had Jordan almonds on the candy bar. Guess what I had for breakfast. and lunch. I ran out by supper.
What'd y'all do this weekend?

I got divorced and didn't even get any vodka! Next weekend. PS- I crashed a wedding with a friend last summer and we didn't even drink their alcohol. We were verrry polite crashers. All we wanted to do was dance!
Glad you had fun!

I had three little brothers (bad little brothers). I still swear that there was a straight 3 year period that at least one of them had stitches the WHOLE time.

You look great in those pictures! So does the cake.

I hung out with Lee and Erin this weekend. We drank, talked, and laughed a lot.
