*Yesterday was my 2 year Blogiversary! Retro didn't get me anything for that one either. You can read my very 1st post HERE. It seems longer than 2 years. I have learned so many things & met some fabulous people! Thank you, Jana, for introducing me to this wonderful world.
*I found a recipe for Bread-in-a-Bag in the newspaper, I thought I'd make it with Sass. What do you think the chances are I'll screw it up?
*Is it sad that sometimes I get in the Preppy Redneck blow-up pool by myself? I mean, it's Georgia, in the summer with a heat index of 105. Sometimes A/C just ain't enough.

*Speaking of "the pool", why is it that when I want to lay out be outside, the children want to trash my house be inside. And when I want to be on the computer inside, they want to trash my yard be outside.
*I was very excited yesterday when the weatherman friended me on Facebook. Apparently, I need to get out more.
*On his page, he had of picture of himself with Drivin' n' Cryin' & that reminded me of the time, back in the day, when several of my friends & I were watching them perform at a local club/bar & the lead singer, Kevn Kinney kept passing out on stage. while performing. Now that's a serious buzz.
*There's a commercial about ovarian cancer in which Kelly Ripa refers to Kim Kardashian as her friend. Now do you think they are really friends or just like the "friends" I have on FB?
*I want to say thanks to everybody that voted for me in the NOT Mom of the Year contest. It really was just an honor to be nominated.
*Just so you know, I am currently experiencing a slight fixation with Chelsea Handler. Oh how I wish she was a Mommy Blogger. Her snarkastic humor really inspires me. Gift ideas for the Semi-Slacker Mom (it is my blogiversary after all): any of Chelsea's books. That's going to be my back-to-school reading. I don't know how anybody does "summer reading" with all these children around.

Ohh, I have a picture of Chelsea with my 6 year old! I've seen her in person twice and read all of the books. I'd do her! If you want, email me your address and I will send you my Chelsea books.

Girl, it is HOT down here! We are at VBS this week too, but the joy of missing it at your own church and subsequently allowing your children to go with a friend at THEIR church is that I've had two hours to myself every night this week! I'm liking this racket!
I'm shaking my head. WHAT were you thinking for OUTSIDE activities for VBS?? One too many purple-panty-pull-downs, I think.
I see the duct tape is working on the ol' redneck pool!

I'm in Florida and my poor hubbie has been working outside in this heat. He is a grumpy bear when he gets home! I meanwhile sit in my office with a space heater. (New Follower from FF)
FYI I am about to fill up my "Party Pool" in a few minutes :) there's no escaping this heat in Memphis either!
PS-Chelsea is my hero.
We were out of town for VBS this year and I'll admit to being slightly giddy about it.

I'm all about getting in the blow up pool by myself. Tennessee is hot, man! Today I actually took it a step further and busted out the sprinkler while laying out. My vain desire to have a tan beat out the sensible part of my brain telling me it was 100 degrees and too hot to do anything except sit inside with a glass of ice tea. The things we do for beauty. :)

I've gotten in our pool too when it's been super hot...and that's after the kids have been in it. So you know I have to be desperately hot since they've probably peed in it.
I read so I won't have to talk to my kids.
