This & That & The Cussin' Kids Club

friday-follow

*Since I am gluten for punishment, the Semi-Slacker brood has acquired 5 new "pets" in the last week.

Meet Lucy (pink shell), Tootsie (orange shell) & Crabby (blue shell) the hermit crabs.  Crabby's name is very fitting because he is kind of aggressive.

And kittens Chloe the tabby & Diesel the black one.
It was a pretty good deal- 2 cats, spayed & neutered with their 1st sets of shots for $25.

*This weekend is a party kind of weekend.  Not the throwdown, preppy redneck kind, but a 4th birthday party today for Baby Girl's BFF, a 2nd b-day party tomorrow for my cousin's twin boys & a wedding shower Sunday for Retro's cousin.  It's also Retro 39th (for real) birthday on Saturday, but it's peach season so he's too busy for a party & next year...well he won't have a choice!

*Bo has recently been elected president of the Cussing Kids Club because it seems that his new favorite word is anything that ends in @$&.  He has taken to calling his big sister Stupid@$$ and his little sister Fat@$$.  We are so proud.

*I don't know where he picks this stuff up from because he stays on the durn computer 24/7, or he would if I'd let him.  And we are a one-computer family!!!  Which may explain why I've haven't posted since Tuesday, that & the fact that it's summer & I have to maintain my tan. I am a true Southern belle after all.

*All this Twilight fanfare has almost made me want to watch the movies. But I can't read the books. Then I never would have time to blog.

*I made my famous shisk-kabobs night before last.  Don't they look yummy?

*I'm working on a slide show of our beach pictures.  It should be ready by say, July 4th.

Y'all have a great weekend!

Those skisk-kabobs look great! Yummy! Why wasn't I invited? I could have brought the pink-pany-pulldowns or whatevah the hell they're called. At this point, who cares?

I really, really, really wish YOU would plan a bloggy meet and greet and the Spa day would be awesome! Where is the Cloister Sea Island in Georgia? Louisiana sucks for Spas. I guess we could always do New Orleans, though.

I'm coming over for dinner the next time you have the kabobs!! Hilarious post as usual. Mmmmmm - Georgia Peaches! That's what you are, too! xoxo

Diesel is the best name for cat I've heard! I love it. Have fun partying this weekend! And I'm working on that tan too - my legs aren't doing so hot but my arms are awesome.

Okay, so the name of your blog on the Friday Blog Hop got me here...and then you hooked me with the "Cereal is a major food group." But it was overkill when you had to say your kid was elected into the Cussing Kid's Club. Mine are proud members (they're teenagers, so perhaps they are leaders in the group now!) And then, to top it off...you also run a "petting zoo!" I have one of those as well!

In fact, I wonder if you are like a long lost sister????

At any rate, love your blog...and your slacker attitude and hope you get a chance to come visit me at my site!

Bo is growing up so fast. President already? That's so funny! If I heard my son call his sister a fat a@@ I think I would fall right down on the floor laughing. Does that make me the president of the bad mom club?

Now, if my brother had called me that when I was little, I would have cried like a baby.

Looking forward to the slide show!

I hate to say it, but I laughed out loud about Bo being president of the cussing club:)

Wow 5 new pets! You are brave! Hopefully the kids will take care of the hermit crabs! I didn't know they had pretty shells! The kitties are cute and it sounds like a good deal to me! How does the puppy get along with them? Sounds like a fun weekend!

Mattie Claire is the VP of the club. She rhymed with "duck" to her whole class in pre-k; I am sure you get where this is going. Praise GOD!!-- She didn't know what she was saying!

I boycotted the whole vampire thing for a long time, then I read cuz all my students were reading. I was hooked. Those were some of the best books I have ever read! I took them everywhere, so I could read at every spare moment.

Those kitties are adorable! And, the kabobs? They look so tasty!

I can't wait until my kiddos utter a curse word, because I know they will one day!

Yum-yum! Those do look good! I don't have time to blog either. I think we should all shut down till school starts.

I caved on Twilight. The movies and the books. I've always wanted a hermit crab.

I have a Kindle (which is one of my great loves, I have to say) and I had all of the twilight books on it. After reading them once through I occasionally wanted to look up something or reread a section and darned if I didn't read the whole series again just by opening up the section! I finally had to delete them from my Kindle so I wouldn't read them for the 4th time. LOL They are still in my archives though, just not as easy to get to.

Oh the kitties are such cuties! What a deal on their medical - wow.

Wow! The kabobs look delish!

My husband said tonight that he is ready for another cat (our "passed away" about a year ago.) He wants to be snuggled again :)

Thanks for linking up :)
