Bo has two new favorite things to say. I'm not sure where he picked them up
Ahhh....Nuts! I'm thinking Alvin & the Chipmunks. And dumb@$&. Usually referencing to his sister. You may can blame that one on road rage.
April has been the LONGEST month ever. at least to me. Easter seems like it was forever ago. I guess it because we've had lots of drama this month. But the Bunko Babes have a throwdown planned for the last day of April, so we're ending it with a bang!
Thanks to Baby Girl, Retro has decided shampoo bottles need child-proof tops!
You'd think that after 9 months Sassy would accept the fact that she has homework, but judging by the fits she throws every single night apparently not. How much longer till summer?
Tuesday, Bo & I (and the rest of the Pre-K) went to the Strawberry Patch.
He got more strawberry juice on his shirt, than in his mouth! Now he wants me to make him a strawberry cake! I think I'm going to borrow Laura's recipe. Unless someone's got an easier one!
Speaking of recipes, does any of you Betty Crocker's have any easy ideas for what to do with my herbs?
And thank you all for your sweet words & prayers for my Grandmother. She seems have gotten over her close call. And she looks good & she's not in pain. I want to tell y'all this about Hospice. They brought to the house, 5 huge teddy bears (one for each grandchild) & a book for each family about dealing with a grandparent's death. We are wanting till time to give them to the children.
Finally, if you have wrinkles (like me) you must enter MY GIVEAWAY GIVEAWAY for a $120 face firming product!!

So sorry to hear about your computer virus issue. Those are the worst!
Oh, I love strawberries fresh from the farm. I'm not much of a Betty Crocker so I can't help ya with the herbs question.
Happy Friday Follow!
Thanks for the shout out!
I suggest a good ol' strawberry pie for your busy life! Don't forget the whipped cream!
I am following your blog now.

Hey - Do you read Pearls and Grace's Blog? Let me know.
I had to smile at your "tagline"... we eat cereal quite a bit around here. Rosie would tell strangers, "my mommy is a good cook, she makes the BEST cereal" hehehe.
I'm stopping by from Friday Follow, nice to meet you! I hope you'll come over for a visit and follow me back.

I think the strawberry patch pic is cute .... Sorry about the virus boo for that
I love your tag line "Where cereal is a major food group". It sounds like my house because of my stockpile of cereal and making it dinner a lot!
Happy FF! I hope you'll follow me too!
wow! So envious of the strawberry plants! i have like six plants! Pathetic!
Sucks about the virus, I had that happen to me too and it was awful! I can totally relate. COngrats on getting it killed though!
found you on friday follow and I like the green nice looking blog, My son loves strawberries too, nice picture.
I posted about my computer problems this week as well, and funny enough it seems much better today. Maybe because of the rain, maybe cause the little guy that holds my connection together in my computer needed to know I'm not playing anymore!
Yes, April has seemed like a long month! Maybe it's because I spent all the money at the beginning of the month on spring break:)! (My husband only gets paid once/month)
I've got no strawberry cake recipes, I usually just cut them up and make strawberry shortcake!
Have a great weekend!
viruses are a pain. i hope you got it worked out!
I use this recipe, b/c Brad wants one like every other week. I'm actually about to make one and put it on my blog! It's way easier than the one you linked to (although that one does look yummy!). I don't always ice mine if I use a bundt pan -- you can serve it with whipped cream instead.
Strawberry Cake
1 box white cake mix
4 eggs
2 cups strawberries, chopped small w/ 1/2 cup sugar (stir together to make juicy)
1 3oz pkg strawberry jello
2 T flour
3/4 cup oil
Mix all ingredients and beat well. Pour into two 9 inch layers or an angel food cake pan. Bake layers at 350 for 25 - 30 min or angel food pan for 45 min.
Icing
1 stick butter, softened
1 lb powdered sugar
1 t vanilla
1/2 cup strawberries w/ a little sugar (stir to make juicy)
Mix softened butter and sugar. Add vanilla. Add strawberries in small amounts until frosting is desired consistency. Careful not to make it too thin; entire 1/2 cup may not be used.
Bummer about your computer!
Yay for picking strawberries. The ones here are supposed to be ready in the next couple weeks.
hey - following you from FF. computer viruses stink!! my mom has a worm going on now - it's driving us all crazy! i cannot wait for the strawberries to come into season in NJ - although this rainy, cool spring isn't helping them get here any sooner! have a great week!
Oh my gosh, I CRY when my computer is down....
So glad your computer and Grandma are both feeling better!
Visiting late from Friday frags.
I'm a new follower, too!
Our homeowners insurance has a policy for computers. Of course the insurance company didnt tell us about it but a co-worker that has the same company (USAA is amazing by the way) but for $5 bucks a month, they cover everything 100% so the last time we got a pesky virus that wiped out our hard drive, the policy covered it completely. Also covers the kids pouring water on the keyboard! LOL No joke so check it out!
