It was either Daylight Savings Time or the Bullfrog...

or the busyness of this weekend as to why I haven't posted the winner of the Sew Girlie monogrammed bucket!  Now without further ado, drumroll please...the winner is

Laura Horton!

Laura has been a long time follower & blog friend.  I can see her having a fit right now!!!

Onto the next order of business.  Can I just say that I hate Daylight Savings Time!!! In my opinion, it is the stupidest idea Ben Franklin ever came up with.  Y'all know he wasn't the one trying to get the children up or to bed for about a week after the change.

Seriously.  Why can't we just pick a time & stay with it?  I don't care which one, I just don't want to keep flip-flopping.  Barrack wants to change something, right?  Get him off the healthcare issue & put him on fixing Daylight Savings Time.  It might up his approval rating.

The Semi-Slackers did have a exhasting weekend even without DST hell.  Retro & I hosted not 1, but 2, Couples Showers on the same night (Saturday) at the same time.  And 1 was at our house!!!  Aren't y'all impressed?

Really.  We didn't attend the Stock the Bar party that was held at our friend's family's party house, we just contributed our money & our names were on the invitation, which were super cute. I felt bad, but we had scheduled the Tailgate Shower months ahead. (And rest assured we regretted, whereas lots of people didn't because there was food leftover) But you know how busy wedding season in the South can be. Plus, the bride-to-be for the Tailgate Shower is like my little sister!

Saturday afternoon, I took all 3 children to a birthday party while Lucy cleaned the house & Retro was working on his "honey-do" list.  She usually comes on Fridays, but the children were out of school & I knew they couldn't keep things clean till Saturday night. There's a reason I call them Katrina, Rita & Alberto.

As much as I love the birthday family, I can't stand the place where the party was held.  It's one of those indoor entertainment centers, with putt-putt, batting cages, playground, bouncers & games like CEC hell. The problem will these places is not the entertainment, but the exit.  As in my children DO NOT want to leave.  I took me 30 minutes, no lie, to corral all my children into one place with shoes on & 100+ tickets exchanged for 2 Toostie Rolls a bracelet.  And I was having a party at my house in just a few hours!

During this time while I was trying to keep from beating my children is when I decided I would need to increase my libation intake to recoup from this drama.

Enter the Bullfrog.

Bullfrog, is a bit stronger than Pink Panty Pulldowns, which for you new readers is usually the party punch of choice.  But you know we have to mix things up now & then.  We've got a little bit left.  We're saving that for the rehearsal dinner!

Finally, I want to say welcome to all my new readers. Thanks for all your wonderful comments, I hope y'all will keep them coming. And if I haven't visited you yet, I'm on my way, have the party punch ready. or chocolate, that will do too.

**I would link up with Supah today, but I can't even remember prom much less find pictures!

I love that you've nicknamed your kids after hurricanes! I hate party places like CEC too. I won't take them anymore...I make Tim do it when they're invited to parties at places like that!

You are the Party Hostess Queen!!

Let me tell you it was a pain getting my own hiney out of bed this morning between the time change and it being the week after spring break! It took TWO alarms!

I wish we could just split the difference and keep the time the same all the time. I mean really what is thirty minutes... a sitcom. We could totally do that.

Those nicknames are great!

My family went through a phase of having our b-day parties at a place like that. My mom hated it with a passion. Because I was the kid that wouldn't leave, haha. But hey, I loved the bumper boats. If she just would have bought one for me to drive around in our pool...

I am with you on the whole time change thing....and the Obama thing. I think the last I heard his approvals were almost negative HA JUST KIDDING but still close. Maybe that would help
I love the pink panty pulldown. That is too funny!

My sisters and I used to drink Pink Panty Pulldowns! I haven't had one in years...I might have to make me some lol!

I promise I went to college, but why have I never heard "pink panty pulldowns" before? Crazy.

And, I'm so with you. This health care reform holds nothing to getting rid of "daylight" savings. It's still the same amount of daylight, right?

I totally agree with the daylight savings thing. I'm still exhausted from losing one hour of sleep!

I had forgotten what a hassle DST or whatever poses for parents with children! I love the extra daylight hours, but mostly when the sun is shining, which it hasn't done here in forever!! xoxo

That punch looks mighty good right about now!

I despise those birthday party places with a passion. I think hell may be a Chuck E Cheese bday party...

Ugh, I hate DST. I don't understand the whole changing time thing.

It sounds like you had a really busy weekend! I am really enjoying your blog and glad I found it!

I hate DST too, dumbasses who invented it.

Ok, you know you cannot post an alcoholic drink concoction without giving the actual recipe! Duh.

P.S. I think that's my pink can coozy with the "T" on it, can you please send it back to me?
