Why is it that...

And some...
Mommy's Idea

WHY IS IT THAT...

*Baby Girl talks like an overeducated adult, (with speech problems, that is) yet thinks eleventeen is a number.  It's not pretty & yummy, it's beautiful & delicious.  And actually I don't know how to make a PB sandwich, because I take too long & she "can't work like this."

*a cake from Charm City Charms costs a mininum of $1000!!!  I mean they're cute & all, but seriously Duff?  Not that I was interested, just checking out the site & nearly choked on my Cherry Coke.

*I used to jam out to Janet Jackson's If in high school (senior year), but now it makes ME blush.  90's on 9 Seriously, do you remember the lyrics? OMGoodness

*Retro pick ats & teases the children to make them cry & thinks it's hilarious.  I just think he's being a jackass.  That's why he won't buy me a BB gun, he's afraid I'll shoot him when he pisses me off.  And, he's probably right.

*Sass thinks she needs an I-phone, when I still have to carry this crappy Southern Linc 2-way phone from 1999 for the farm.  At least the one I have doesn't weigh 5 lbs like Retro's.  Seriously.  I need a decent cell phone.  Blackberry, Blueberry, whatever.

*the kids got way more for Valentine's Day than I did.  We did go to Natalia's, but I was having camera issues, so just look at the pictures from New Year's- it's about the same.  The crowd was a little different, Aunt Crissy & Phillip joined us & Fig & Hot Salt.  And I only had 2 Apple Martinis.  It was Sunday, after all.

*the muscle that connects my shoulder & my chest is still killing me & we went sledding almost a full week ago!  I am OUT.OF.SHAPE!

*Sass has been spending all her time in a recently cleared off field behind our house looking for cool stuff.  She must be watching too much Antiques Roadshow or Pickers?  Have you send that show? Love it!  She did find a cool vintage blown glass Santa head ornament.  All the paint is gone, but it's still neat!  Antiques Roadshow here we come!

My Dad also picks picks picks at my kids, until sometimes they cry. He then feels bad, and my Mom is like WTF...you didn't see that coming?

Have a great weekend!

You should go get your own BB gun and then next time he starts in on the kids, wouldn't it shock him when you go to the closet and pull your gun out???

Treasure hunting in the field sounds really fun!

Happy Weekend!

I know all about the sore muscles long after they should be feeling better. Being out of shape stinks.

I think I should have learned to make designer cakes. I'd really only have to make one or two a week...

I have an uncle who picks and teases and frets until all of us hate him. He just can't help himself. I say it's karma that his two boys are so gosh darn mean!

Oooops, I'm the one guilty of teasing my kids to the point where they get upset.

My daughter is starting to sound like a mini-adult too. Just today, she was mad at how long it was taking me to find my jacket so we could leave the house and she stood there with her hands on her hips and said, "I haven't got all day!"

My son just lost his first 2 teeth so my husband has been calling him Toothless Tom. He HATES it and even started crying about it one night. Hubby thinks it's hilarious and keeps calling him that! He thinks I need to call him that too because he needs to "buck up" and quit being so wimpy. Whatever.

My parents had a friend who was known for his relentless teasing of children. Also, whenever you went to his house on your birthday he spanked you - hard - with your pants down. In front of everyone. I was terrified the whole month of Dec.

There are very few things I would spend $1000...cakes are not on that list.

Seriously, how do our kids get so smart? And, yet, they are still young babies for other stuff.
