The situation: Houdini, I mean Baby Girl, will not stay in her carseat. She can get out of a 5-point harness! This is what I said on our last TWO trips down the INTERSTATE to/from "the big school".
What I said: If you don't stay your bad butt in that car seat, I'm going to beat you till you can't sit down. People can see you moving around in the car. Somebody is going to call the police & they are going to take you to jail. If we have a car wreck, you are going to be dead. Do you want to go live with Jesus? I'll give Sassy your room & P.A. If you don't get back into that seat belt, I'm going to take you to the po-po myself. Do you want to go to jail?
What I meant: Keep it up & I'm busting out some duct tape & bungee cords!!! Seriously, you hard-headed a$&.

we've all thought that from time to time! gotta love mommyhood
I remember Cole and Bella doing that too!! I love how you explained what would happen if she didn't stay in her seat!
Hahaha! Neither of my kids have ever gotten out of their car seats...either they're not clever enough, or their too scared of me? Either way, it works for me!
Thankfully my boys are too lazy to try that, but if they did, I think I would combine both of your answers!!
oh my first was a houdini. at 18 months he took the side of his crib apart in the middle of the night.
I feel for ya sister!
I hear hard headedness runs on the oms side... jussayin
Flash Forward: Therapy Alert!
You totally cracked me up!
Thank goodness I didn't have to deal with that kind of stuff with either of my kids. Luckily, they did pretty good staying in their car seats. I'm one of those, "I will pull over right now!" kind of moms you hear about. Luckily my kids believe me and I've never actually had to do it. :)
You are too hilarious! Love it!!!! xoxo
LMAO thats fantastic! That sounds like me talkin to my son when he's actin a fool in the back seat!
Oh, that's super scary. Isabelle undid the top buckle one time and I scared her so bad about doing it she cried. We haven't had a problem (with that) since.
my oldest did that! it totally drove me nuts too!
I love other blogs that "confess" :)
Thanks for introducing me to the "What I Should Have Said" blog hop. I'm going to have to play along!!!

Confessions From A Working Mom
One of mine did that a few times. I took advantage of an empty road the last time, slowed down and hit the brakes which pitched him forward and scared the daylights out of him. He never did it again.
I can't count the number of times I have said in various circumstances "If that butt isn't in your seat it's getting smacked."
Mental note for when Baby H.I.T. is older (and born).
oh dear! when they learn seatbelts, everything goes out the window :)
Funny, in the same situation I would have said the exact same thing!
Ok. I un-followed and re-followed you. We should be kosher now.
Have a great weekend!
omg i just busted out laughing at my computer... hysterical...
Your kids and my kids must have taken the same "how to get out of your carseat" class...i wonder how they got there
I love how you explained what would happen if she didn't stay in her seat!
