Channeling my inter June Cleaver

Y'all may need to schedule an intervention.

I have been doing a sorts of Mommy things this week.

Seriously.

I played Monopoly with Sassy. The 70s version. I don't know why my MIL doesn't throw this stuff away after say, 20 years. And let me tell you, there's no such thing as a "quick game" when it comes to Monopoly.

I lost my mind took the children + 1 to paint pottery today. Remember this from last year? The children & I made that, for you new people.

I was trying to do something similar for Christmas. However, as soon as we walked in the door I could tell it was going to be a Xanax kind of day. Baby Girl was the best behaved if that tells you anything.

I also really didn't have a game plan like I did with the turkey platter, so I just did a large tile. What was supposed to be a tree looked more like mistletoe, so I went with that. Since the children were finished & my nerves had me way to shaky, the girl is going to write "I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus" on it. If it turns out halfway decent I'll post it.

I can assure you it won't be as cute as the Christmas light plate I did with the Bunko Babes last week.

After the pottery place we made a run by Mickey D's. At least at this one, they don't know us by name. Let me tell you "quality time" with your kids ain't cheap. I dropped $46 for pottery & $16 for McDonald's.

And I'm not even finished with my "mommyness" rampage.

The rest of the afternoon was spent high making pinecone birdfeeders, roasting marshmallows on the fireplace & baking a chocolate cake. Don't get too excited, it was Betty Crocker cake & Duncan Hines icing.

All this & they haven't even changed my medicine yet. I know y'all are wondering if I'm smoking crack making all this up, but trust me. I was going to take pictures but I was drinking way too busy.

Tomorrow, I'm making Oreo Truffles, a Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake & supervising Sassy's pecan pie attempt, crocheting an afghan for the homeless shelter, sewing dresses for the girls, knitting Bo a basketball jersey (for the winter) & cooking a 5-course dinner.

I'll let y'all guess when I started lying on that one.

Quality time can be expensive! I hear it gets more expensive the older they get! Those pottery places will make your head spin - I went there with Evie when she was a little baby. Stress! She HATED it and let us all know that her feet were not to be dipped in paint. HA!

June Cleaver obviously had "mother's little helpers" in a bottle in the bathroom! I am trying to quite being angry at all of my neighbors that are fully decorated for Christmas. I'm thinking about evil things that involve a paintball gun!
Bake on girl!!! I am making ice cream pie, and lemon birds nest with my other in law tomorrow.

First of all, I'm thinking you started lying after pecan pie! Second, what up Suzie Home-maker!? You're an animal!

I thought I was the best mom in the world today...I got up, and we made it to the gym in time for my spin class. I picked the girls up from the kidzone to take them swimming. Unfortunately, I forgot a snack. Damn it. They were starving. World's Best Mommy fed them white chocolate peanut butter cups that I had stashed in my purse! Nice, now my stash is low.

Btw, Pink-Panty-Pull-Downs are in my future tomorrow! I have all the ingredients, woot! Is the lemonade supposed to unthaw in the refrigerator before I make it?
