Pay attention much?

And today's (well really last night's) drama is...

Okay. So thanks to Ida, we are underwater over here & when there's a major downfall, farmers don't work. So Retro has been hanging out around the house for the past 2 days. Which I kinda enjoy.

Yesterday, Bo stayed home from school because he threw up during the middle of the night. Imagine that. He must have just eaten something that didn't sit right because he was perfectly fine by 9am. you're welcome for the sensitive stomach

So when it was time to pick up Sass, I left him & Baby Girl gladly home with Retro.

Less than an hour later, I come home & Bo has a band-aid right above his eye. And Retro is playing gin with Phillip (another farmer friend). good childcare is hard to find. I ask Bo what happened & he says he got bit by a wasp. WTH?

When I question his father he says Bo told him Baby Girl bit him. Well she is a WASP, but not that kind.

I know most of you don't know Baby Girl's real name, but let me assure you, it sounds nothing like wasp.

I take off the band-aid & his whole eyelid is swollen! The size of the huge band-aid he had on, that he helped himself to, blocked my view.

When I bring this to his father's attention, he says that he couldn't understand him & he really wasn't crying. So he didn't think much of it. Sorry, my son's not a cry-baby. well he kinda is sometimes, but apparently not when he gets bit by a wasp

Thank the Lord he's not allergic!

We found the wasp & killed it around 10ish, when I took down the curtain because one of the windows in the sunroom/playroom was leaking from the rain. Lovely.

Never a dull moment. Ever.

Having dad around to watch you just isn't the same thing as having mom.....I hope that your brave son is doing better...getting stung by a wasp is pretty scary, especially right by the eye!

Dude, I got stung by a wasp on my eyelid & just under my eye a few years, and it hurt so bad I cried. And I am SO not a crier. My kids were so freaked. Your kid must be one tough cookie!
