The decision has been made.

I found out this morning that a childhood friend just lost her 4-year-old daughter to H1N1.

She was in the same grade as Bo at a private school in Savannah.

That hits way too close to home.

My children ARE getting the vaccine this afternoon.

Please say a prayer & hug your babies a little tighter.

xoxo

Oh no. I am so sorry to hear this. It breaks my heart.

It is scary, but I am also going to get my kids vaccinated.

Such a shame - I am sorry for your friend's loss.

Hopefully more children arent killed by the vaccine than get sick from the flu :O(

I'm so sorry to hear that.
Your friends will definitely be in my thoughts.

I was leaning toward not because a few people I know have had H1N1 and are recovering fine...but this certainly makes me rethink.

I heard about this on the news! They actually lived in my little town. I am so sorry to hear that you knew them. This pretty much cemented me getting the vaccine as well. Praying for you and your friends.

I am so sorry to hear about that. You have to do what is right for your kids and not let the world dictate what you do.

I stopped breathing there for a second when I read that.

Good luck with the shots.

Maybe I should rethink my decision. That's so scary.

Most do not die from H1N1, they die from a bacterial infection contracted while recovering from the flu. Things like pneumonia and bronchitis.

Oh, I am so sorry. I just can't believe it!

Evie's doctor recommended against the mist because I'm pregnant and we'll have a new baby here soon. This post makes me want to check out the shot...

Prayers and XOXO...

I will be thinking of you all.

Oh no, how awful. I'm really sorry to hear that. I was leaning towards not getting it b/c I know very little about the vaccine. Now I'm thinking I better rethink this (not even sure if the vaccine is in yet at the pediatrician- as of 2 weeks ago, it was not)
H1N1 has been confirmed in the school and it is really scaring me. Again, so very sorry to hear of your friend's loss.

I'm at college and my mom was really persistant about me getting a vaccine. When I did, she was much more relieved. I haven't felt bad or symptoms or anything yet if that helps! And the shot didn't even really hurt either (and I'm a wimp)!!
