Chickened Out

or If NOT loving you is wrong, I don't want to be right.

Retro is on the Adkins diet, or rather his version, so lately the only food he's been bringing home is fried chicken.

Chic-fil-a nuggets, Zaxby's & Church's (which I hate) strips & KFC are coming out my ears! And we even had chicken at the reunion.

I'm not a huge fan of chicken in the first place. I prefer the cow. Bring me a steak & I'm good to go. or fish. hell, I'll even take the pig.

If I don't see a piece of chicken for the rest of my life, it will be too soon. Not really, but 6 months wouldn't hurt.

Tomorrow I'm cooking up a big ole pot of collard greens!

It's just a bonus that he doesn't like them.

LOL sounds like something I would do to my husband because I could!

Laughing...but doesn't the fried part negate the adkins diet part??

At least he gets his own food when he is on a diet. My husband expects me to cook whatever he wants and wants me to eat it too!

I love collard greens, I'll be right over. Hope your week is going well. I guess Halloween is a busy time for you with your sweet children. Enjoy!
Love & blessings from NC!

I have lived through the Atkins diet with my husband on more than one occasion (barely!!) he is nice enough to bring home separate food for me most nights when he does it, though! You know--Atkins does allow steak!

Oh that's funny. My husband is the same regarding his non-love of the chicken. The other night he was upset that we were having chicken AGAIN!, the scary thing for me was that I hadn't made chicken in weeks, not sure what he's been eating (or thinks he has been eating!!)

Chris and I tried Atkins before our wedding. We both lasted until around 3pm before giving up. Too gross to eat all that stuff! But I've seen it work well for many people!

I totally get the chicken part but what about it being deep fried does he think is gonna help him lose weight?

If there truly is a way, please please please for the love of God tell me what it is!!! If I could get away with eating fried foods and still lose weight...bring it on!

Wow! I wanna know how much weight he looses on this "fried chicken diet"!

Speaking of chicken...rule at the Horton's house: moma doesn't cut up a chicken and the only chicken we DO eat (at home) is boneless, skinless chicken breasts.

The End.
