Plenty of Friday Fragments

Since I haven't done any fragments in forever, I have plenty to share to today.

But first, here's the costume compromise. Sass is going to be Tinkerbell. And wear her arrival dress. I am not up on my Disney Fairies, but apparently they are cooler to an 8 year old than Disney Princesses. Nor do I know anything about this "arrival dress" or why Tinkerbell (& for the over 30 crowd, it's Tink now) is wearing this at all! But Sass preferred the white to the green (too common I guess) & it's Disney & if I make her wear a tiara, I can pretend!

I couldn't find any good pictures of it on the internet. Like I said, it's NOT too common. She probably wore it for 5 minutes in the movie. That would be the Disney Fairies movie, not the one that made her famous, Peter Pan. Is Tink turning into a diva?

Here are some of the frag-worthy things that have happened around here in the last few weeks:

*I took blueberry muffins to Bo's class for blue day. You know, the just add milk kind. I asked him how they were & he told me that one kid said that they were the best muffins he'd ever had. Poor child. His mother must be even less domestic than me. I know you are cringing, EM.

*Some friends of ours have a house on Lake Michigan in a Country Club neighborhood. And the groundskeeper found a tooth from a Mammoth about 100 yds from their house! Seriously. Google it! Archaeologists from Siberia are coming to look for more. Isn't that crazy. Bo thought it was the one from Ice Age.

*Have you seen the email going around about ponytail holders that are being made (in other country's, of course) with used condoms? Gross. "Don't throw that away, hon, I need to pull my hair up!"

*I asked Baby Girl if she needed to go potty before she went to school & she told me 'they have 2 pottys there'. She also calls her "girly business" her body. It gets kind of confusing around here sometimes. We say tu-tu, which also gets confusing (especially on dance day).

*School is turning my sweet baby, Bo into such a stinkin' little BOY. He talks about sports & wants a basketball "court", Transformers (never seen the show), guns & now he picks on his sisters! He has also becoming more of a Daddy's boy, but I'm still his favorite!

*2nd grade is kicking my butt! Sassy is awful at spelling & doesn't like to read! Which baffles me, I have a degree in journalism. At least she's good at math. Any tips on the reading & spelling? I've tried bribery. In monetary form & in Webkinz form.

*Baby Girl has been hoarse for 2 months because she strained her vocal chords. Screaming!

And why is it that she will do everything that Dora, Diego & Ki-lan ask her to do, but when I ask her to do something her response is "I ain't gonna do it!'? That is until she gets a spanking. My other children watched Dora, but never "held their hands up to catch something"!

*Don't they make GPS's for children? I need 3 for each of my kids & one for Baby Girl's Bitty Baby, P.A. Seriously, the one I need for P.A. is the one I need the worst! Oh & one for Bo's pillow too.

*I'm currently reading Stop Dressing Your Six-Year-Old Like a Skank, which btw is one of my biggest pet-peeves! Ya'll know. And it is a fabulous book. This chic thinks just like me. And she's from the South, so that's mo betta. I highly recommend any of Celia Rivenbark's books! They all sound fabulous! Even the titles rock! And I love titles.
