Monday's All About MEme - Survivor Style

Today (or tonight, whatever) I'm playing along with MommyBrain and SupahMommy & participating in their All About MEme. Because SupahMommy invited me & she is so stinkin' HIL-AR-IOUS! That and she worked so hard on this week's logo.

Okay, so here's my 5 things I can't live without. Enjoy or empathize. your choice.

1. Happy Pills. Well that's just for the safety of others. I can think of about 7 people that I would have slapped in the face at the "happiest place on earth" alone & that's even counting the ones related to me. And don't even get me started on some of people I have to deal with on a day-to-day basis. Momma Drama, hello.

2. DVD player/DVR. In the house. In the car. It's like magic, when the natives start getting restless, I pop in some dysfunctional Max & Ruby & 8 times out of 10 calm is restored. Especially in the car. That & Benedryl. Mommy's little helpers.

3. Coke & Twix. I prefer my Coke Cherry & my Twix frozen. That's my guilty pleasure. And messing with my stash is grounds for a time-out, fer sure. And if I'm on the edge, well... they know better.

4. Bunko. It's the one night a month that I'm guaranteed to get away for some girl time with the "Babes". I get to laugh & chat & have fun with adults. Except I missed this month due to the unavoidable family vacation. So I may need to double up in October. Plus, there's always good food & booze. What could be better?

5. My truck. SUV. Denali. whatever you want to call it. I can NOT stand to be without a vehicle at my disposal. I know it's bad to say, but I hate to have to rely on other people to do what I want to do. I remember one time I broke my collarbone in a car wreck & couldn't drive for 6 weeks. I almost went crazy. And that was when I was a teenager. I can only imagine how it would be now since I'm already about halfway there.

SupahMommy suggested listing things you couldn't do without on a deserted island. But the only island I'm ever going to be on better have an all-inclusive resort, so that was a mute point.

And coming up this week on Confessions of a Semi-Slacker Mom, we'll have a fabulous giveaway & my thoughts on a certain feline product & maybe my thoughts on prime time's new fall line-up. I'm boycotting daytime tv. I think we all know why.

programming note: some people have told me that they aren't getting the feed for my blog in their readers since I switched names. You may need to resubscribe (or unfollow and then follow me again.) Sorry for the mixup everyone!!

Glad you are doing this too. It's fun!

I have to learn how to play Bunko and I'm a big fan of frozen snickers. Must try twix too.

Love me some Bunko ... I always manage to win something ... which just sweetens the deal of getting out of the house and hanging with my girls! And cherry coke - how I love you ... but you are not good for the glucose levels ... ugh!

Thanks for joining our MEme :)

I was without my car for TWO weeks and I was going crazy. I finally got it back last night. Now I can go to the grocery store and get a Twix bar so I can try one frozen--I've never done that before which is amazing considering I eat about 7 candy bars a day!
