Oh goodie.

I just got through printing out all of Sassy & Bo's Back to School information & I feel like I could throw up. Seriously.

Not because I'm not ready for them to leave me. Quite the opposite! I can't wait for them to get out of my house for 7 hours a day.

What stresses me is the thought of 10 months of waking up at the crack of dawn, getting 2 children dressed, (3 on T,W,Th) snacks packed, (Sass is eating in the lunchroom this year, I don't care if they serve chicken fried worms!) out the door with everything they need & to school ON TIME! Plus the 12 forms I have to fill out by the end of the week!

And... the fact that they changed the dress code & it's pretty strict, so I'm going to have to go through all their clothes & pull out the contra-band. Or fight with Sass every morning about what she's going to wear, which will probably still happen. One word, people: UNIFORMS! Pleeeaaash!

And... they changed the start time! Hello! I couldn't make it there at 8:15 last year. What makes them think I can make it at 8:00 this year & with an extra kid in tow.

Seriously. Next year 9-4 with uniforms! And I'll be a happy mommy. well happier.

Just read your post of the not so scary halloween parade. We're planning on going to that. I know you need tickets to attend (otherwise they kick ou out of the park). Check out the DIS boards for more info. That's were my fiance gets all his Disney insider information. Lol. Have a fun trip!!! I just love it there! :)

I feel your pain. We went from uniforms for 5 years to street clothes this year and it darn near killed me. I can't take it. Decisions decisions. I loved it when I could say..."do you want to wear the navy jumper or the navy jumper today?"

We also went from an 8:00-3:30 schedule to an 8:00-2:00 schedule which took some getting used to. I love 'em but..I feel like they are only going for a half day now.

Lord help me!

My mom has a countdown going for lil sis to go back to school...currently her favorite activity is to tell me that she is bored and reject every activity I suggest.

mine isn't this old yet, but I hope for uniforms before he ever gets to school. I don't want the headache of trying to keep up with the latest styles and fashions to impress his friends, lets just make uniforms mandatory.

I'm not sure how my mom gets my brother and sister out the door on time every morning - brother isn't too bad, he just has to have his backpack raided for baseballs and gloves every morning. Sister on the other hand... I was privy to a month of very dramatic wardrobe battles before school ended for the summer this year. Those two are living proof of just how different twins are!

Funny how before I had Reagan I thought that it was odd that Canadian kids started school at 9:00 instead of 8:00 like I was used to. Now, I think I am going to be grateful for that fact when she starts preschool in the Fall!

I agree with you--uniforms would solve many of the world's problems!

I'm not looking forward to getting back into the school routine, either. I'm so annal and it's killing me that I don't already have a school supply list since places like Target and Walmart are already getting supplies ready! Alise is starting a new private school this year, so I feel a little lost. And get this...no uniforms this year so HELLO to my nightmare, too!

I went to a Catholic school from kindergarten to senior year. Uniforms were fabulous. Maybe you could talk to the school and suggest it.

I can't imagine needing to have everything together and at a destination with children ready to roll at 8am. I also can't imagine what it would be like to drop my kids off for 7 hours a day...

12 forms, how did you get 12 forms? I swear I got 60 forms (you know 20 for each kid). Ok maybe I am overreacting but when you have 3 kids in the same school and you have to put the same info on the same paper 3 times except the child's first name on the top of the paper. I want to rebel and say to hell with the papers but maybe I will make it through somehow. On a positive note my kids don't start school until August 31st.
