Inquiring minds want to know...

While I was on vacation, I asked ya'll for any questions you had about me. Here's your questions & the answers...

How did you and retro meet?

I was helping out in the pro shop at our local country club, when Retro & our mutual friend, Blond John came out to play. I asked John about R & he asked John about me, so he introduced us. Our first date was the following weekend to a cocktail party at the most prestigious Country Club in our area. Three years & 3 days later, we were married.

What is your most embarrassing moment? (let's put a time frame on it... in the last 10 yrs)

I honestly can't think of one off the top of my head, but I'm sure it was either caused by my children or too many libations.

How did you first get into blogging?

My friend, Jana had a blog, but that was the first I'd ever heard of one & being a Journalism major, I have always enjoyed writing so I started one as kind of a scrapbook. I know ya'll can't tell I have a degree in Journalism, but I do, with a concentration in PR.

I set it up several months before I started blogging, that's why my URL has nothing to do with my title. I will have my 1 year blogiversary this month!

Dang. Everyone already asked what I was going to say. I knew I should have gotten here earlier. Hmm...how about...if you were stranded on a desert island and could bring one item (not a person), what would it be?

A cell phone, one of those fancy ones that has the Internet on it, so I can call or go online & order whatever I need.

1.Were you and Retro high school sweethearts? I have a feeling you have already told this in a post, but tell me again ;-)

No, we weren't. We had several mutual friends & our families knew each other, but because of our age difference (when he was in HS, I was in middle school & when I was in HS, he was at college) we had never meet.

2. When are you and my grands coming to Tennessee? xoxo
We're going to surprise you!!

What is one serious goal you hope to accomplish in the next ten years?

To have all 3 of my children happy, healthy & doing well in school, while keeping my sanity. And to renovate & redecorate our house.

Do you really have a housekeeper?

Oh yes. She's not like Matt Lizzie, who was our nanny/housekeeper/mother's helper until she got sick in February, but if I didn't there wouldn't be enough happy pills or cocktails to keep me from losing my mind!

Seriously, I was raised with a housekeeper & all of us have somebody to help out.

What is it like being a farmer's wife? Do you do work around the orchards?

Sometimes it's hard, like during the summer. Right now, Retro works literally from sun up to sun down lots of days. And during pecan season it's long hours too, but not quite as bad. Peach season runs from May-August & pecan season runs October to December. But, it's a family business & he makes a pretty good living.

And no I don't work in the orchards, he wouldn't let me if I wanted to. We have migrant workers that come every year. I have some trees by my house that the children play in & pick from, but that's as close as we get to work. I take the children riding through the orchards & to the barn on the golf cart most every day.

What beauty products do you use?

Not a whole lot. As for makeup, I use Mary Kay fountain & eyeshadow, Cover Girl powder, Avon blush & Maybelline mascara & liner. Hair: I use either Herbal Essences or that EcoStore shampoo & conditioner. That's about it! I don't use anything on my face but soapy water, which may explain my wrinkles.

I have an "eclectic" bunch of makeup, too. I don't even use soap (of any kind) on my face. (but I have very dry skin) I do use the MK scrubby stuff now and then, though.
