And it looks like I need a new camera. or maybe just a new photographer.
Every year on our last evening at the beach, I
My daddy usually does this with me, but this year he gave me the same response that he did when I asked if they wanted to go to Disney with us again. I'll let you guess what that was.
So, grab your strongest cocktail (Entertaining Mom has some great ones) and get ready for the fun???
Guess who fell asleep just before picture time.
Seriously. This is the best one I got of all my children looking at the camera. Two out 3 smiles will have to do, besides that's usually Sass's look anyway. And you wouldn't believe the stuff I bribed them with. Maybe if I actually followed through with my promises, they might go for the bribes a little better.

Here's my favorite "shot" from last year's photo session. The quality of this one's not quite as good, but it'll do. And I'm not thrilled with Sassy's choice of shoe, but whatever.

See, Sassy...I could think of another word, but I'll go with "Miss Smarty Pants".

LOL!
Don't feel bad, even my 13 year old and 3 year old fight with each other. I mean, who would have guessed that? The kids look adorable. :)
Thanks for your kind comments, I love your blog and your kids are super cute even when they're fighting :)
Awww. I love them! I think Sassy's shoes are cute in that pic of them walking away! Put a collage on your Christmas Card so people can see several different views of these angels! Darling!
Your children are still so adorable! It is so frustrating to take children's pictures. When I taught pre-school, I always hated the day we had pictures at school. Talk about stress!!!! Trying to keep a whole classroom of 3 year olds clean and looking decent to have their picture taken individually and then with the group. Not my idea of the most fun day ever. LOL!! You got some cute shots of the kids. I think the candid shots are great as it shows who they actually are at that stage of their life. (Picking on each other!!!) Typical brother/sisterly love. Thanks for sharing. Love & blessings from NC!
They are so cute! I love the outfits!
Oh man, I feel your pain. Nothing worse than trying to get the kids to all cooperate for a shot.
the one of them on the dock is perfect!~
Oh that's so cute! Your kids are adorable. I can totally relate. I go through the same routine with my kids-- even the same outfits on the beach. Last year I took 96 shots and had two that were OK of them together.
The one we used was taken after they disrobed and went swimming (and then got dressed again) and feature them with lollipops in hand, because that is my bribe of choice.
At least you have an early start!
Shutterfly and Tiny Hearts let you make collages... I used three pictures of the kids to make my Xmas card. It came out well.
I think the last picture would make a great card with a sassy comment abput Santa having already made his list or something... or a comment about having run out of Zanax! LOL (I spelled it properly this time!)
My parents have had to collage together pictures these past couple years because either my brother or sister does not cooperate or I veto them based on how I look.
Good thing for digital cameras, right? ;)
Darn! I hate when an important photo shoot doesn't go as I hoped!
But,I must say these are some cute pix :)
Your kids are so very photogenic, even when tired...sassy...frustrated...LOL!~
What a sweet little fam!!! They look precious...smiles or not!
I love all the white! Cute family you have!

Ya know, these pics are adorable and sound so great in theory. But in reality, they're damn near impossible to accomplish! Our Christmas pics last year nearly caused me to run away forever.
I think they all look great!
Very cute! I love the beach there> I may have to pack up the boys and head to a beach, somewhere warm!
Trying to get cute pics of my girls together is the bane of my existence--it never works out the way I see it in my head...
Oh well! It was worth a shot!
Great photos. My son is 14 and his most captured expression is his teeth gritting smile. His 8th grade graduation photo was the first photo ever taken with a decent, genuine smile. So there is hope. Lol!
Tee hee. When we go places with my kids, I've been telling my 5 year son that we are going to take a nice picture before you can do anything. It worked at the water park and Great America. I forgot at Strawberry picking, but it worked out. Cute pics! THey made me smile.
I love these pictures! Your kids are beautiful.
The picture of the girls is just precious! I can't even imagine trying to get 3 kids to take a good picture together...I have a hard enough time with the one I have!
Now I know what my mom must have gone through with us four kids. As for the quality, have you tried using the photo editing from your camera software? Many of them include a sharpening tool which sometimes helps with fuzzy shots...
I totally know where you're coming from! I'm not holding my breath this year that we'll get a decent family picture to send out with our Christmas cards this year. I think that would be asking too much.
I love all the pics, especially the one of all 3 kids bending down drawing in the sand. Sometimes it's the unexpected pics that turn out to be the most beautiful!!
That's frustrating, but I guess it "is what it is," isn't it? :)
