What can I get for you?
Seriously, that's what it feels like at my house about half the time. I know I don't look like a short order cook, but apparently that's what I am.
Here's what was on the menu tonight:
*leftover grilled chicken - Retro
*leftover pizza - Retro & Sassy
*peanut butter sandwich - Baby Girl & one bite of his - Bo
*cereal (big shock) - Bo
*1/2 piece of leftover steak - Sassy & Baby Girl
*salad (from a bag) - Sassy & SSM
*baked potato - SSM
*sour cream & onion Sun Chips - Retro, Bo & Baby Girl
*pudding pops - Bo & Baby Girl
And speaking of those Pudding Pops, do ya'll remember these from the 80s? Jell-o Pudding Pops? Bill Cosby used to do the commercial.
Anyway, these were my favorite childhood frozen treat. And throughout the years, I'd often wondered why they took these little pieces of heaven on a stick yummy treats off the market.
As Bo & Baby Girl are walking down the frozen food aisle of our local overpriced grocery store, when what to my wondering eyes do appear?

I will be sending a thank-you note to the Popsicle company.
Oh & did ya'll notice how the little ones were eating the pudding pops I had purchased for myself! Now, that's a mother's love!

The other news, I have a little tidbit share that couldn't wait for Friday Fragments.
This afternoon, Baby Girl found some Easter eggs with money in them. She played with the change for a bit, then handed it to me & said "Dis is for jour wreck, for jour doff tart".
Is that not the sweetest thing?!?

I definitely remember the pudding pops - they were the best! I found them not long ago in the grocery store and bought a box, but was disappointed because they didn't seem to be exactly like the 80's version - definitely not as good. Am I crazy? Do they seem as good to you? You may have to bogart one from the kiddos to answer that question. =)
OMG!! I've been wanting those forEVER! Off to the store.
I love those AND I totally remember Bill Cosby in that commercial! How sweet of Sassy, btw!!
whoops I meant Baby Girl... still half asleep over here! ;)
She needs a Barbie jeep! (kidding!)
I love pudding pops!
Kewl! Although I am definitly a child of the '80's, I don't really remember the pudding pops! Bill Cosby I was not a fan of. However, my friend would watch the Cosby Show religiously...wouldn't even answer the phone when I called on Thursday nights between 7;30 & 8:00! Enjoy the "kewlness" this summer!!
I used to love the Puddin' Pops I will have to see if my local grocery store has them! and that was very sweet of baby girl!
Oh I love Pudding Pops! Super sweet little baby girl!
I loved Pudding pops! I'll have to keep my eyes open for that! Thanks!
Baby Girl is too cute!
My mom used to make all of us a different dinner and she then decided the tough love approach that if we did not like what she was cooking then we did not eat...it worked pretty well. I have never had a pudding pop perhaps I will try them.
left you an award on Pretty Personal Gifts...
Strange, but I don't remember the pudding pops I don't think. Then again...I don't like pudding. LOL! Good for Baby Girl for giving you some change for your wreck. LOL! And -- I'm glad the marking thru worked for you. :)
I do remember that commercial quite vividly but I don't remember ever actually eating a pudding pop--I must get one STAT! and that BG--too, too sweet!!!
YUMMY! I bought Golden Grams cereal this week and hid the box in the back of the cabinet. Is that a mother's love, keeping the sugar cereal from her kids?
Awww, that baby girl is precious. Love the pudding pops too. Our dinner is about the same around here.
P-P-Pudding Pops?? I must run out and find some right.now. I LOVE THOSE THINGS!!
