Tonight's the night

You either love them or hate it, but tonight's the night for the season 5 premiere of Jon & Kate + 8.

Maybe we will find out:

1. Is he cheating?

2. Is she cheating?

Seriously, my hubby & I have 3 children & we have a hard enough time trying to find the time to have an affair with each other, much less sneak around & have an affair with somebody else.

3. Does Kate now have a stylist?

I'd be willingly to have 5 more kids if I could get one. Yea, right! The only way I would have 8 kids, is if I had more money than God. And a full staff. And a new uterus. I donated mine to science.

4. Is that a spray tan?

Looks like Mystic to me. Cause I know they don't live in Cobo.

5. Is a divorce in the future of the show?

I hope not, for the sake of those precious children.

6. Any more trips planned?

Taking that many trips with all those children could cause any couple to divorce or drink.

7. Is this the last season?

For Jon's sake, I hope so. I hear Kate wants her own talk show. Oprah for Stay at Home Mommies. We'll see.

I hope I can stay awake long enough to watch. Hope it only lasts an hour.

I take Fritz to get his sutures removed & his hard cast put on first thing tomorrow, then Field Day for Sass.

I was just going to do a post about this... she seems like she wants to try to get back together and he seems as though he wants out... he wouldn't commit to an answer about reconciliating their marriage... made me so sad, espcially in light of the Birthday party... so sad how things change and people change so much in 5 years... I truly feel badly for everyone involved.

And what is on Baby Girl's schedule for tomorrow? Hanging out with mom and going to Field Day? xoxo

Ok I think I like Kate more now! Jon seems like he is done. Yes, she has gotten on the glamour / money train, but hey, if America and the world wants to watch and support her train, I say RIDE ON! It sure seems like they are done.

I think it doesn't matter so much if he cheated - driving around with a 20-something woman in your car at 3 am cannot be defined as hanging out if you are a married man - that is working outside of the bounds.

I think it was sad to see how the birthdays used to be compared to now. I think they have been caught up in celebrity. They may not have read the fine print - yes, the cameras will be in your private lives, and yes, you will have paparazzi - that is part of why you make $50K an episode. There is a price for everything.

My last comment is I question the decision of the dr who performed IVF on the couple within their first year of marriage. Back in the day, you had to try a couple of years before you went the fertility treatment route.

Overall, it is so very sad.

I missed the show, I hope you do a recap! I saw a magazine cover this weekend with Kate's pic on it, that said "From Mom to Monster". I was LIVID, I ranted and raved right there in the store. He messes around and she's the monster?? WTH?

I don't watch the show but I just can't imagine putting my family's life on TV. No money is worth that added stress.

I was sad all night after watching that show. What if the rolls were reversed and Jon was out earning money for their family and Kate was home with the kids? Everyone would think she was nuts if she had a problem with him being out of town working. I'm guessing that it's not easy being the mom and the bread winner with a husband who's not exactly motiviated. I realize that they got themselves into this so I don't feel sorry for anyone but the kids. But really, I hope the kids never see that show from last night. If Jon comes out with a fabulous plan to support his family in a future episode will one of you let me know? I can't watch anymore.

I don't know if either or both of them have cheated... but I'd guess this will be the last season.
To me, it seems like the media attention for that crazy Octomom has died down (unless I've been living under a rock, but it's been awhile since I've heard anything about her) so it's like the tabloids and such need another mom to bash...

My best friend LOVES this show. I've never gotten into it, although I might start watching this season after all the hoo-ha I've heard about it!

I stopped watching the show early last season as I just couldn't stand Kate and her b*tchiness with Jon. If she treats him like that on national TV week after week (so it's not just the way the show is edited) then I can only imagine how she treats him when the cameras aren't rolling. It's no excuse to have an affair, but I can totally see how he'd want to get the hell out of the house and away from her. There are worse things for children than parents getting divorced who are not happy with each other. My parents did and it was a glorious day for me as neither one of them was miserable before. It's obvious Kate has pushed the show much more than Jon, and now she complains about all the celebrity and gossip. But I'm sure she likes the $25,000+ an episode they get paid and that big nice new house they have. Even her brother speaks out against her.

Crap!! I missed it. I need a recap, please :)

And hugs to Fritz. Hope he's okay.

I didn't watch. However, maybe I should have, although I root for Jon! She seems...mean.

I watched it. I think Jon's complaints (not the cheating or not cheating or whatever he did)sound similar to the struggles that most SAHM's have. I have sympathy to it but it isn't like he is the only one to have quit his/her job for the betterment of the family, or spends all of his time with the kids...
I am not going to take sides but I definatly think that this will be the last season. I just hope they can survive without the TV and the TV $$$.

Great post by the way. I have an award for you over at my site. Come by and pick it up when you have a chance...

I watched it, and I can't help but wonder if all the controversy and media hoopla over the past few months was a way to boost viewing and ratings for this season?
But I do feel sorry for her... and she is showing a much softer side of herself it seems!

So after watching it...what did you think? I didn't know who or what to believe!!!

I have to say..shame on both of these parents. Pimping your little kids on TV for a living is just plain wrong. I hate to say things about another mom..but she needs to put the interest of those beautiful kids first.
Wishing everyone a fabulous evening!!
