*There is an interesting store next to Kroger, which is across the street from the Wal-Mart, called Trends. As we were walking into Kroger, Sass noticed the prom dresses(?) in the window & said "pretty dresses". I told her that's not where we will be buying any of her formals. We will be studying up on appropriate dresses for young ladies this summer.
*S-P-E-L-L-I-N-G. I feel like that's all I have been doing lately. Sassy has been reviewing for her 50 word spelling test, which is today-pray, & Bo is on this kick where he wants to know how everything is spelled. And his vocabulary is not that of the average 4 year old, so I have to spell interfere, coincidence, expression & rattlesnake bed (huh?), but I am not even going to attempt those dinosaur names. Except T-Rex.
*I understand that little boys like to tt outside, but Bo has been taking his pottying outside a little too far. Twice.
*We got behind the garbage truck on the way home from school & being the cool mommy that I am; instead of passing it, I followed it so Bo & Baby Girl could watch what it did. Thank the Lord it finally turned off because it was starting to really stink.
*Our wedding album is still out from when I posted pictures from it on our anniversary. Imagine that. But Bo & Baby Girl love to look at "Mommy & Daddy married", so I can't disappoint my babies. That's my excuse.
*My Outlook Express is screwed up. AND blogger is getting on my nerves. Anybody know how to fix it?
*I ran to our mailbox today (we do have a long driveway) & I quickly realized any pipe dream I had of being a runner was down the drain. I have an excuse for that one too.
*I wonder why I'm having a hard time finding a babysitter to go to the beach with us.
*I'm not one to post recipes because I don't cook, but I did make a yummy salad for Bunko (this time we really had it!) last night. Really I just kicked up a recipe from one of the moms in Sass's class. Anyway... It's easy, just
2 pkgs. of Spring Mix mixed greens (in the salad section)
strawberries (cut-up), blueberries, blackberries, raspberries or whatever you prefer. (Kroger had a little container of all of these ready to go)
pecans (I used roasted & salted from our fruit stand & crumbled them up a little)
Marzetti's Raspberry Cabernet Vinaigrette (salad section too)
*Ya'll have a fabulous Friday!

I would totally go to the beach with you to babysit!
I am with kimmie I would babysit for a free beach vacation. I think I would have a hard time convincing my parents to let me go somewhere with someone that I met on the internet though! My Aunt is very strict about the no white until after labor day rule.
Carolina Girl here who has always heard the same as you... white wearing from the waist down is only done between Easter and Labor day... never after Labor Day or before Easter!
I've been having problems with Blogger too...it's very frustrating! My daughter LOVES to look at our wedding pictures too. She keeps saying she wants to wear my wedding dress someday when she's "old like Mommy".
That salad sound DELICIOUS! I am going to have to try it! And VERY cool of you to follow that garbage truck. I probably would have tried to distract my kid with a balloon or something so that he couldn't see it! :)
That salad sounds DELISH! I so need to visit your fruit stand/store. I point out the billboard to Brian all the darn time. LOL! Tell me what you've got in there to entice me more. :) And -- I see you deleted the followers gadget...that is supposedly the culprit. And -- your blog is working for me now, so it must be. I know...mine was doing the same darn thing.
And -- I'm with the others...I'll go to the beach with ya...but I may have to drag my two leg attached kiddos along as well. LOL!
I've always heard the Easter to Labor Day thing, too. But I avoid white pants because I'm afraid that someone will try and show a movie on my butt.
Yup, white between Easter and Labor Day. Not that I'll be seen in any white other than my natural leg color anytime soon. :)
I think it's different in the South. I mean in Connecticut we are often still in down and fleece on Easter. Winter white, here, is acceptable, but I wouldn't wear white white here until after Memorial Day... but wait, I'm a big fat liar. I had white on today. Whoopsie! But it's 85 degrees out, how can I not?
Blogger's been a real pain in my oversized ass... until I switched over to Foxfire from Internet Explorer.
And, from someone who DOES like to cook, your salad sounds Ah-MAZE-ing!!!
Definitely white from Easter until Labor Day!!
I think in the Northern states it's after Memorial day. Farther south, I think it's after Easter. This was a hotly debated issue among my grandmother's bridge club. They also took issue with wearing diamonds before 5PM. Rules, rules, rules!
I think you can wear white when ever... Resort wear!! I wear dry cleaned white jeans as did Jackie O. I think the hell with Rules..if you look good you wear it!! xxxx me
Have a great weekend!!
It's Easter.
You Are Welcome.
Love to my family. xoxo
White before Memorial Day? Hmmm. I say go for it, unless you have cottage-cheese butt (in which case one should never where white pants; they're not very forgiving.)
Oh-oh! What in the world is he wiping with? (Please tell me he's wiping.) LOL
Sure wish I had some of that salad right now...
That salad looks yummy and easy. Thanks for sharing.
I wore white this week. I hesitated a little before putting them on. But then I got over that.
you have such a cute blog. i'd babysit for you!
Here's an article I found about the rules on wearing white before Memorial day.

Sounds like the "rules" change depending on where you live.
White after Easter. Although my super fashionable J Crew looking boss at Fancy PR Job wore white pants all the way into september. Go figure.
