What do you do when you are stuck inside on a yucky weekend?
Clean the house? yea right. too cold.
Cook? I did slave over a hot toaster for waffles.
Play with the children? That's why I had 3 of them.
Organize something/anything? In my mind.
NO way!
This is what a semi-slacker mom does:
*Lay around the house in your PJs until around 5pm then take a shower & put on fresh PJs.
*Catch up on some blog reading, Internet surfing & play a little Vegas-style Solitaire.
*Watch a movie with hubby. (Appaloosa, some Western with Renee Z.)
*Watch a movie with Bo. (Alvin & the Chipmunks. For the 450th time!)
*Watch some Jon & Kate + 8 reruns with Sassy.
*Watch the news (E! News) & read the newspaper (People mag).
*EAT everything in sight. I think I've gained 4 lbs. in 2 days. Pillsbury has a new Break & Bake flavor - Oatmeal Chocolate Chip! I'm addicted. There must be a 12-step program for this & Cella's Chocolate Cherries!
And the best thing I did-
*Taught Baby Girl how to do a head roll or flip whatever you want to call it. It's a must video!

My weekend was eerily similar and I was feeling guilty about it until I read your post. Thanks for making me feel better. I always enjoy having a partner in crime, or semi-slacking or whatever it is the kids are calling it these days!
I didn't get much accomplished this weekend either. I was glued to the computer all weekend waiting for Harper to be born and then was so upset about her health, that I couldn't concentrate and get much done. Oh well, I guess we need a "slacker" weekend every once in a while. Besides it was too cold to do much of anything anyway. Love & blessings!
Sounds like my day today.
No wonder I come by and visit your blog! Same here!
It sounds like an awesome weekend!! No chaos, just nice, quiet, relaxing time at home!! Definitely a productive weekend b/c you probably caught up on some much needed relaxation!!
I so hope those pj's were flannel ;-) Ummmm a 2 pair pj day? Sounds perfect to me!!! xoxo
I took your sage advice on my VV puffer vest purchase and gave you credit for it on my post! I Thank you and My Debit Card thanks you! ;-)
that's not just a yucky weekend for you, that's everyday...but I didn't get anything done this weekend, wait yes I did, I finished painting the trim in the office...how much more painting do I have? don't even ask
My favorite kind of weekendS! I too am addicted to the oatmeal break and bake. Yum! Which reminds me I have some in the fridge.
THat's my kind of weekend!
family time gets priority over cleaning ANY day!
nice job mama!
"Play with the children? That's why I had 3 of them."
That is my favorite line in this post! Right there with ya, sister!
Sounds like a great day.
I slaved over a pot of Kraft Mac & Cheese personally
I love the one about waiting til 5pm to take a shower and put fresh PJ's on! That's so me, except why waste water? Just wait until the next morning. I love those days!
I think it's ok to lounge on the weekend. And even some weekdays too...hehe. Stopping by from SITS....
Ha - too funny. Here's to all the slacker moms out there. And you know, I go round and round with hubby about the multiple children idea. He says if we had another one then they'd just play together and I'd have the entire day to myself. I say, I'm not so sure it works that way.
