The surgery was a success!

That sounds so soap opera!!

Thanks ya'll so much for all the comments, thoughts & prayers for my Bo-Bo.

The surgery went fine. Getting him put to sleep, not so much. I warned them. During his recovery, the nurse made the comment that "he's a strong little boy", then she proceeded to tell me that it took several people to hold him down to "blow up the balloon".

The first couple of days were tough & he could not stand taking his pain meds. I got wise & started spiking his fav - cherry coke with it. No more problems!

We are now on day 5 & the hardest part is keeping him from "over-doing it" or playing too hard. Easier said than done.

The best part of the whole experience is Bo's new BFF, George. We got him at Kohl's on Sunday (check back for a follow-up post) for $5! And 100% of the profits go to Kohl's Cares for Kids, children's charities.
(Please excuse the gross-looking pillow. It's like his security blanket. Once upon a time, it was a Ralph Lauren feather pillow & if you look real close it's covered with "horseys", so I'm forbidden from covering it with a pillowcase.)

He looks so pitiful in this picture, but I promise he's feeling much better! Thanks again for thinking about us!

BTW, Retro had to take Baby Girl to the DR Wednesday am for... wait for it... an EAR INFECTION!!! Except she runs a fever & throws up with hers! Fun, Fun.

He does look so pitiful but glad to hear he's doing better. The old soda and medicine trick, good one! And I didn't even notice the pillow. I think we moms look past them because we've all been there, done that.

My oldest has a security pillow too and REFUSES to put a pillowcase on it, it looks so filthy LOL. ;)

Oh, he looks like a trooper. So I just noticed that you are a farmer's wife. I'm a farmer's daughter, and being a deep down city girl, I always vowed that I wouldn't relive the farm life, but now my husband, on top of his job in insurance, is pretty much my dad's hired man!

So what do you guys raise?

That's great! Glad he's doing well. I didn't notice the pillow, either. My daughter has a stuffed cat she sleeps with that STINKS, no matter how often I wash it. She loves it. And I think she loves the smell!

I'm glad the surgery went well for him. The hardest part for me too after Mayhem had his tonsils out was keeping him from over doing things. He just would not rest until his body made him, so it took almost a month for him to recover

So glad it went well...what is it with guys and pillows?! LOL My husband (don't tell anyone...lol) keeps a pillow case stashed in his top drawer to twist the corners of when he's stressed or thinking. lol I wake up at nights to him twisting pillow case corners of our cases and yell at him for ruining our new cases! lol
