My Retraction

After my fussfest yesterday, I started feeling kinda bad. Self-absorbed really.

Granted my back may hurt like hell & Bo hasn't slept through the night in FOREVER, but for the most part, I have 3 healthy children & a loving, hard-working husband. And soon Bo will have his surgery & I'll get the nerve block & things will be all better.

But right now, my friend, Ashlee's 2 week old baby, Blair is in the NICU fighting a serious infection in her tiny little lungs. Sometimes, we take little things like holding your children for granted. Blair was 10 days old before Ashlee got to hold her. Ashlee is a wonderful person & I know God has a plan for her, but please pray for Baby Blair. And her Mommy & Daddy. You can follow her story at Across the Branch.

I promise I will try to post some funny stuff soon!!! Just bear with me!
Ohhh! I just thought of something!

The night before last, Baby Girl woke up around 3:45 am. Bo-Bo had already come downstairs, so she came down looking for him. He was asleep on the toddler bed in our room. (Yea. I moved the toddler bed into our room, I've accepted our fate!) Anyway, I make her a pallet on the floor between the t. bed & my bed. She doesn't like the pillow I provide for her, so she goes back to her room to get "my pil-do". She's had me stuff 2 pillows into 1 Christmas Snoopy pillowcase, so her pil-do is as big as her & bulky! She tries to lay down with it. It won't do right. She grunting, fussing, then plain as day, she says "Damn it!". I look at Retro, he looks at me. "Did she just say what I think she said?" I believe she did, Buddy! Don't piss her off!

They sure do learn fast, don't they?
As for "retracting" your rant, no way. You're entitled to one every week. I give you permission :)

It's shocking when they use those words, and then it's even more shocking when they use them in the right context, isn't it?

I hope your friend's baby recovers quickly.

You are allowed to rant whenever about whatever...I'd be in a world of hurt if that weren't the case.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend's daughter. Sweet Baby A was in the NICU for a week with a lung infection...it was super-tough to deal with. I can only imagine how hard an extended stay would be.

My 4-year-old just used that word last week. And she said it in the exact same tone that I do. Oops!! I must admit, it sounded much cuter coming out of her mouth than mine. Hope your friend's daughter is better soon.

No retraction necessary....we've all been there!

I will keep Baby Blair in my prayers.

I can't wait to hear what comes out of Brayden's mouth as he is beginning to talk just a tad...

Everyone's entitled to a rant now and then. It's not your fault. Even the kindest and most patient among us get frustrated and fed up sometimes.

I hope your friend's baby is okay and heals quickly.

Yeah I know how you feel. There are times I'd like to rant and rant....but I try not to put it all in my blog coz some of my in laws might be reading it.

I hope too that your friend's baby get better soon.

Damn it! - that's cute. Hehehe!

Rant away! Just because others have it worse than you doesn't mean being a Mom isn't extremely taxing! As we know, it's amazingly rewarding as well. But not always in the same moment. ;-)

P.S. I've been winking a lot tonight. Somebody stop me!
